We were not able to stay at the property but Katherine, the host, was very nice and responsive when we called for help. The email Vrbo sent with the directions to the property were not correct. It sent us to a totally different property in an entirely different location of the property we rented. We searched and searched from around 5:30 in the afternoon until about 7:30 but to no avail. It was a cold and rainy evening. We were giving up when Katherine contacted us and helped direct us to the correct address. But the time we reached that location, after quick stop for fast food, it was about 9:00. By then it was dark, cold and wet. We are 67 years old, we could not see where we were walking and the steps were not age friendly to us at that point so we gave up and went to a hotel in Danbury. I spoke with Katherine at that point and apologized but told her we have given up. She was kind about it and I did tell her that I was going to contact Vrbo and see about getting a refund. I contacted Vrbo the nest morning and the representative was very helpful and with the host arranged a 50% refund which we felt was fair. I appreciate his help although I think Vrbo should not have penalized the host either as the initial problem was their mistake.
