„The property, gardens and location were beautiful however the listing is misleading as it suggests that the rental is for the whole property (" extended family living on two floors", "private gardens"). There is actually someone staying downstairs and this rental is just the top floor. That was not a problem in itself, just a surprise. If there was a BBQ (which the listing says it has) we could not find it, and the email asking this question of Juliet (property manager) prior to our arrival was ...

„Das Ambiente dieser ehemaligen Zuckerrohrplantage war umwerfend! Das Personal sehr höflich und zuvorkommend und die Chefin sehr engagiert und aufmerksam. Das Barbecue am Strand war sehr schön, nur die Suppe, die die Chefin sehr großzügig eingefüllt hatte, schmeckt zwar gut, soll wohl aber eher den Magen füllen. Diese würde ich nicht essen. Sonst war es wirklich alles in allem ein super Hotel, wir würden sofort wiederkommen!“

„This is a charming hotel. The rooms are traditional, with some modern upgrades (the TV has a US Roku - a good choice for US visitors, although unfortunately it doesn't really work for UK visitors). „Nisbet is on a former sugar plantation and buttresses the Atlantic. The grounds and rooms are well-maintained. It’s very laid back, an older crowd, except for the lively Thursday night barbecue on the beach. Outsiders come to Nisbet and live music is offered. Dinner food is fair, although quite good at the barbecue. Breakfast and lunch are pretty good, but with limited menus. Overall, a very relaxing vacation, but it is best to go off grounds for other experiences and restaurants.“
