Luxus-Montana Cabin-Blick auf den Wald-Kabine-Eigenes Badezimmer

Neu im Jahr 2014 erworben, die "Montana" ist ein komplett renoviert Ende 1800 Log Cabin auch abseits der Straße für die Privatsphäre und mit Blick auf eine Schlucht mit Wasserfällen und Bachbett entfernt. Dieser 32-Morgen-Eigenschaft grenzt an Wayne National Forest mit zusätzlichen 1000 Morgen zu erkunden. Es ist nur 5 Meilen von Nelsonville und 8 Meilen See Hoffnung State Park in Zaleski State Forest. See Hoffnung ist ideal zum Wandern und Mountainbiken und dem schönen 120-Morgen-See Hoffnung hat viele Angeln, Kanu, Kajak, Picknick und Schwimmen.





ATV-Enthusiasten sind nur wenige Minuten von der Dorr Run Trail Kopf mit mehr als 75 Meilen von bezeichneten Strecken für Geländewagenfahrer, Mountainbiker und Wanderer durch die Wayne National Forest. Montana ist 20 Minuten westlich von Athen und der Ohio University und 20 Minuten östlich von Höhle des alten Mannes. Es ist ideal für Eltern und Alumni besucht OU und perfekt für ein Wochenende besuchen Ohio berühmten Hocking Hills, als einer der BuzzFeed atemberaubende unter dem Radar Ziele benannt, Ihre Eimer-Liste hinzuzufügen.





Die Montana hat ein Loft mit zwei Queen-Betten und 1820er Jahren Topf bellied Gas-Kamin, um Sie auf diesen kühlen Abenden warm zu halten. Ein schönes Bad, eine voll ausgestattete Küche einen kleinen Essbereich, TV und WI-FI, eine große Rundum-Terrasse mit Whirlpool für stargazing und Kochen aus, ein Gas-Grill und eine Feuerstelle mit Blick auf eine Schlucht und Bachbett.

Unsere Gäste werden auf jeden Fall wollen Nelsonville Historic Arts District mit Stuart Opernhaus Hocking College und die Nelsonville Music Festival zu besuchen. Hocking Hills und die ganze Schönheit der State Parks zu bieten haben, ist nur eine kurze 30-minütige Fahrt zum Höhle des alten Mannes, Conkle Hollow und Rockhouse.

Nice Cabin

The cabin is nice, thought there is not really any yard space. Also, the check-in and especially check-out were inconvenient because going back into Nelsonville to the store was 30 minutes out of the way for me. Upon arrival it wasn't too bad, but as I was leaving to head home, it was quite inconvenient to go the opposite direction in order to turn the key in. Also know, if you are planning on multiple people the beds are both upstairs, and they are in one big room. This didn't matter because I was alone, but from the pictures I thought it was multiple bedrooms.

Authentic log cabin in the woods.

Easy to get to and secluded. Genuinely rustic but with all necessary modern conveniences. Loved the setting. Close proximity to all things Hocking Hills. Definitely recommend.

Sewage smell was horrendous

First I want to say the cabin itself was very cute, location was pretty secluded, very quiet. Now for the downfalls. The description says smart tv/cable/satellite. I assumed that meant it had one. It didn't, very old TV, no Firestick or Roku. Not much for cooking knives, no toaster, very tiny coffee pot. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, during the 1st night we went downstairs and slept in the recliners. While the cabin was small and cute, previous renters have left trinkets, notes, beer cans, wine bottles and such everywhere in the cabin, throughout all the cracks in the wood, everywhere. I thought it looked trashy, but from reading the reviews other people enjoyed it.A note said to keep pets off the bedding and furniture. I thought that was obserd since it's a pet friendly cabin (we didn't bring our dog, and glad we didn't after seeing that).The parking area is huge which was great for turning around, but it lacked stone and was nothing but a giant mud pit. The biggest issue was the sewage smell. My fault for not researching or asking about it after I read the 1 review I seen about it which was dated September 2024. I assumed it was fixed by now because the cabin had so many 10/10 reviews before that and since. After smelling it myself I went back to the reviews and found MANY complaints dating back to 2021. So they have zero interest in fixing it. That is unfortunate because we couldn't use the hot tub because of the smell. We couldn't go outside at all.

Great get away!

We had a great time. The place under promised and over delivered. It is very secluded and quiet, which is hard to find! Beautiful cabin in the woods. Perfectly clean and well stocked. I will say that the mattresses could use an update. They are very very soft/worn out. But that’s the only complaint.

Cabin was nice but amenities were frustrating

The cabin was nice and clean. We reported that the hot tub blew the breaker when you kicked on the jets on Monday. Still wasn’t fixed and there was no communication about the issue with us throughout the week, including Friday when we checked out. The outdoor gas grill had burner tubes that were rusted out and was not usable.

Wonderful but...

This was our second stay at this cabin. During our initial visit in 2023, I detected a sewage odor emanating from the backyard close to the fire pit, but since we didn't use the fire, I chose to overlook it. A year later, however, the odor had intensified to an unbearable level, significantly detracting from our ability to enjoy the fire. I’ve been informed by others that this issue can be rectified, which raises questions about why it remains unresolved.

Enjoyed the Montana cabin.

Loved the cabin! So much character! We loved all the little notes left by others. The hot tub was very hot. There were so many flies. The furniture was comfortable. It was a relaxing get away. Could not log into WiFi. Well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom! Gotta be careful on those stairs to the bedroom. We would definitely return!

Montana cabin

The cabin was really nice as advertised. We enjoyed the location very private. It was clean and comfortable. The biggest problem with our stay was the septic system and sewage smell and we could not get away from it. If you took a shower, got even worse. So we could not use the fire ring in the outside amenities. so on the property, we were restricted to the cabin.

This is a great little cabin. Quiet and comfortable. Located within 30 minutes of all the things we wanted to see and do. My only recommendation would be to move the fire pit away from the septic.

Came out to Hockimg Hills for a reunion of myself and my sweetie from 30 years ago. Place was perfect and very secluded away from everyone. Cabin was adorable decorated in bears and forest decor. Don’t forget to write a note and stick in the wall. Will definitely be back!

Cabin is nice, but problems spoiled it for us!

We really liked the cabin, but the lack of a working A/C upstairs and the poor condition of the matresses spoiled it for us. They were the worst I have EVER tried to sleep on! We had to sleep (or TRY to) downstairs in the recliners. We also had problems with wasps entering through the underside of the downstairs A/C unit. I put a little aluminum foil into the large gap at the bottom to solve that problem myself, but it should have been sealed before we arrived! Also, the toilet wouldn't flush, and I just reattached the chain in the tank to fix that. We had booked a three night stay, but left early morning after only two nights because we had to go home to get some sleep! No refunds of course... When I called management and told them of our problems, Sara just said I should have contacted them to let them know while I was there. Perhaps she is right about that, but I really DON'T like to complain, NOR write a bad review! Sara offered us a discount on a future stay, but I don't know if I am up for staying at one of their properties again. I feel basic things should already be kept up! We have stayed in cabins before, and we were always well pleased with them. However, we advise you to book elsewhere, at least until these problems can be corrected. Hopefully, they will address them before your stay. If so, at least our dissatisfaction will prevent yours! If nothing else, we HIGHLY advise you to complain if you have problems, IMMEDIATELY!

Great cabin in the woods

Great place to stay to see the Hocking Hills area. We were about a half hour from everything we wanted to see. The cabin is nice and quiet. It was clean and just as advertised. The only bad thing was the smell from the 3 septic access points which are right next to the fire pit and hot tub. It wasn't horrible but when the breeze definitely blew it our direction while in the hot tub. Regarding 1st Choice, the property management company . . . don't know if I've ever said this before, but the communication was too much. I didn't need to be contacted by phone 3 different times to go over the exact same thing. They wanted me to pick up the key at their store, but I came in after hours. There's a lockbox at the cabin, so I don't know why they even wanted that. My feedback for them is this . . . one call is plenty!
