"Als erstes möchten wir betonen, dass sich das gesamte Personal sehr viel Mühe gegeben hat und zu meinem Geburtstag mir eine super schöne Überraschung gebracht wurde. Die Menschen haben hier wirklich viel wett gemacht. Wir hatten die Honeymoon Villa für unsere Flitterwochen gebucht. Die Villa ist groß und so gelegen, dass man seine absolute Ruhe hat. Leider war die Ausstattung schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, vorallem den angepriesenen Whirlpool konnten wir nicht nutzen. Das Display war kaputt, das Wasser war kalt und der Pool war sehr verkalkt und sah dreckig aus. Abgesehen davon, dass der Pool nicht mal komplett gefüllt war bei unserer Ankunft. Auch andere Dinge hatten Wartungsprobleme. Das Personal hat sich wirklich alle Mühe gegeben, aber nicht alle Sachen konnten gefixt werden. Die Hotelanlage an sich ist sehr schön. Aber man darf keine Europäischen Standards erwarten. Die Jungle Villen zum Beispiel sind neuer und scheinen in einem besseren Zustand zu sein. An sich empfehlen wir das Resort trotzdem, weil es schöne Annehmlichkeiten bietet. Wir hoffen nur, dass die Mängel ausgebessert werden."
Breezes Beach Club & Spa – Half Board

"If you want to enjoy beaches on the East coast of Zanzibar, which are clean and not overcrowded, Breezes in Dongwe is a good place to go. For a half board and not an all inclusive hotel, Breezes is relatively expensive in comparison, because the room rates are high and you will pay every lunch and every drink extra. The food and the drinks are good but not as good as the room rate and the prices (to be paid in US Dollars) would suggest and it might not be the cook’s or the barman or barmaid’s mistakes, but probably due to the budget that they are given. Staff is very nice - many (not all of the) employees authentically - however the hotel leaves a taste that benefits for higher level management are maximised and that high level management and not the customer is king."
