The Babouz Cottage, 4*, entire house in the heart of Mirepoix and Cathars area

This is the perfect place to meet up with family or friends! Both close to all amenities, shops and restaurants in 1’walk but also fully preserved and quiet with its stone fence and walls.

The Babouz Cottage is one of the 2 houses of a spacious traditional 19th century “Maison de Maître”.

It has been completely renovated and offers all modern comforts. This 220 m2 house can accommodate comfortably up to 10 people, including 9 adults/teens maximum, spread over the 3 bedrooms and the den. The second living room can host a spare bed for 1 additional adult. Also, Up to 2 baby cots can be provided .

This 4* Gîte has a private entrance and a private courtyard with jacuzzi and BBQ area.


THE GITE : 220 m2 over 3 levels.

Ground floor: Private entrance on a large vestibule with multiple coat and shoes racks, and access to the dining room, 2 living rooms, kitchen and toilets.

First floor is dedicated to the 3 bedrooms Roma, Amsterdam and Montana, plus a bathroom with 1 shower stall, double sink, toilet, bidet, bench, heated towel rack, and a 8 m2 balcony.

Second floor includes the Nairobi den with a single sofa bed, and a separate bathroom with a vintage bathtub, double sink, toilet, dressing table, heated towel rack.

Any floor level offers everything you need to make coffee or tea, to feel at home!

The terrace is equipped with a dining table, barbecue, and overlooks an intimate piece of garden with garden furniture, a jacuzzi and brasero, to spend beautiful days and evenings with family or friends!

Directly accessible from the terrace, there is a private laundry that includes iron and ironing board, airer, a 17kg washing machine, clothes dryer, antibacterial products for the jacuzzi and an additional freezer to store the big volumes of meat and ice cream during the summer.

GUEST ACCESS
Physical reception by Sam or Denis. Just ping us when you are 1h00 from the gîte on the phone number communicated upon booking confirmation or at the latest 48H before check in arrival.

If you come by car, there is no parking in the gîte street. Better is to park either in the main central place where the Saint Maurice Church sits, or Gamm vert and Super U parking. You could as well make a 5’ stop in front the gîte to drop your luggage off before going to park.

ACTIVITIES AROUND
As well as many walks, funfairs, dances, local markets, there are many amenities around including the beautiful lake Montbel at 15 minutes with beach, water activities, treetop course and restaurant, river kayaking, an international karting track, horse riding, cycling tours, hiking areas and much more.

Medieval sites, Cathar castles and museums are accessible between 20 and 30 minutes, the first ski resort the Monts D 'olmes in 40 minutes.

The Cité of Carcassonne (Unesco list) and Toulouse are accessible in 4O and 55 minutes.

The wine tour starts at the gates of Mirepoix.
