„Obwohl das Hotel direkt am Highway liegt, ist es sehr ruhig (Zimmer sind hinten gelegen). Wie fast überall auf Tasmanien wird noch ein Restaurant und eine Spielhalle betrieben. Der Service war exzellent. Die Zimmer müssen vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert und neu eingerichtet worden sein. Die Ausstatung umfasste alles, was man brauchte.“

„"Check in" fand an der Bar statt, da es keine Rezeption gibt. Für Australien sehr ungewöhnlich war dieser wortkarg und kühl. Sonst hatten wir immer eine sehr freundliche Begrüßung, kurzer small talk, ein paar Tipps etc. Hier gab es nur spielende und trinkende Männer. Wir fühlten uns nicht besonders wohl und willkommen. Das Zimmer war klein, dreckig und direkt an der Straße , die sehr belebt ist (sehr lauter Straßenverkehr, besonders in der Nacht von LKW). Es gab keine Ablagen, Kleiderhaken, ...

„Arrived late after noon. The owner was most helpful as we needed directions. Room was good with a brilliant view of Burnie Harbour. Breakfast we sat with the owners. We talked and talked until we realised we needed to move on to our next destination.“

„Great location in Burnie. Lovely licensed bistro and Maccas easy for brekkie. Good parking. Hotel has been somewhat renovated with double glazing so the Port noise is hardly discernible. Corridor doors need work as there were some very noisy port workers coming in late. On site laundry was a bonus. Staff lovely.“

„A very unique little house close to town and the beach and other amenities. Loved learning the history of the place. It was warm and comfortable. The hosts were very generous with goodies for breakfast. Appreciated washing machine and dishwasher. Loved our stay“
