„I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). “

„I booked this hotel at very short notice, due to visiting the area as a surprise to see my daughter. On arrival the whole building was spotless, and after a short wait, I was greeted by the proprietor. The gentleman was extremely professional, happy, polite and gave the warmest of welcomes to his establishment. He promptly booked me in and escorted me to my room. „Brilliant stay, the staff and the owner were great very homey and warm atmosphere. Very kindly made me an early breakfast each day as I had to be up for a training course. Rooms were clean tidy and brilliantly sound proofed as I heard nothing from the bar downstairs. Great little place would highly recommend.“

A short walk away is a wonderful cafe with fresh baked goods and a nice espresso. The town centre is a short distance down the hill where there are a few pubs, shops and restaurants. There are some great hiking opportunities nearby as well. “
