"Pemba Paradise delivers an authentic tropical feel with lush grounds, an excellent pool, an on-site dive center, and 24/7 security. It is also an extraordinary dark-sky spot for stargazing.
Dining and hospitality were top-tier: fantastic dinners with incredible homemade bread, alongside made-to-order eggs, fresh passion fruit juice, and pastries at breakfast. Exceptional service from Manuel, Victor, Abdallah, and Veronica. Rooms have solid mosquito nets with regular spraying, and staff accommodated our 6:00 AM checkout with a packed breakfast.
Excursions & Beach Note: While near Misali, Njao, and Fundu Islands, the hotel's tours felt overpriced/inflexible; booking independently is better. The immediate beach isn't ideal for swimming due to tides and seaweed farming (odor-free, great sunsets), but walking right leads to two other beaches.
Actionable Improvements:
Dock: A small boat pier would make low/high tide excursion boarding much safer.
Buffet Details: Add dish/allergen labels and ensure real butter is always stocked.
Room Hardware: Add bathroom towel hooks, provide soft pillow options, and install a bedroom vanity/full-length mirror to ease shared prep space.
Curtain Clearance: The entryway curtain snags in the lock mechanism when drawn, jamming the door from outside."
