Communication from the apartment complex managers was not the best. There were times when it took up to a full day to receive a response, and I had to email their supervisor directly in order to get a reply.
Second, the apartment is very centrally located and ideal for almost all activities you can do in Medellín, but it does not have security cameras or extra security on the bedroom doors. Even though the area is generally considered safe, there is always a risk of theft or assault. The apartment we were assigned was right next to the pedestrian sidewalk, and honestly, there was one night when we got scared because a man stayed outside for about two hours. I don’t know if he was trying to enter the property, but he remained there for a long time. We almost called the police, but a neighbor noticed and made him leave.
Regarding what the apartment offered, most things worked only “moderately.” I had to record a video both at the beginning, when the apartment was handed over to us, and at the end, because I read that sometimes they try to charge a fee if they find something damaged or dirty. So if you stay there, record every detail carefully. You pay expecting good service.
