„I agree with the other reviewers- this place is outstanding. I would love to return to see it in all four seasons! We loved sitting on the porch and watching the creek roll by during a thunderstorm. The two bedrooms downstairs are lovely, and I also found the futon very comfortable to sleep on. “

It rained one of the days we’re there but that was fine because there was so much room and things provided in the house that we didn’t even notice! Management was excellent“

„The cabin is a quiet oasis in the mountains of West Virginia. It is conveniently located near wonderful nature destinations of Northern WV to include Seneca Rocks & Cavern, Blackwater Falls and Pine Knob. We had deer great us daily and enjoyed sightings of turkey and hawks on the property. Although surrounded by nature, it's easy to get to Rt 33, 28 and 220 making it easy to navigate to any adventure. The cabin was spotless and is an ideal retreat.“

The whole group seemed pretty content just sitting on the porch and soaking up the mountain views. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us, everyone really enjoyed themselves!!“

It was nice that the bathrooms were not inside any bedrooms so accessible to all. I would definitely stay at the Manse again if I go back.“

„We booked for a sibling birthday retreat- traveling from Texas, NC and Va. The house was quaint, comfortable ( chairs on porch not so much- would have liked rocking chairs as advertised as the weather was perfect for spending time there). A few electrical glitches typical for older homes-plugs in guesthouse were wonky and couldn’t seem to get enough light. „So glad we found this amazing property instead of staying at the Omni Resort. I walked the property with beautiful views and flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. The deer came every night! The bed was so comfy. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and at night we had a fire! A gas station and an IGA is so close. All the restaurants were very good. Every view from each room was perfect. „We had a great stay here and it was perfect location for our tournament we were playing in at the Homestead. It was very well laid out and accommodating. One suggestion and I have made this a couple of places. Not everyone is familiar with smart TV's so having clear instructions for us older folks would be most helpful. Also the second bath is very deep so care needs to be taken there. Otherwise we were very happy and would definitely consider staying again and I would highly recommend it. ...

„We enjoyed our time at the Bears Den. We were looking to escape and relax and that was easily done here. A few notes: we were short on the number of bath towels initially but found the extra bath towels in the dryer. Unfortunately they had sat wet in the dryer and were musty-requiring washing before being used.The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items for the most part but there were no pot holders which would have come in handy with the countertop oven—there was only one dish towel.
