„It’s a run down bach! The pictures look great but unfortunately the accommodation is not! Not only the garden needs to take care of. The bathroom especially the shower is moldy. The top of the fridge was super sticky. It might be a good backpacking accommodation but not the one we expected looking at the pics. We decided not to stay there and left the place. Beside that the bbq was very dirty and looked broken. Sacha just wrote „it’s a beach bach and not a hotel“. But also a beach Bach doesn’t ...

„Nostalgic Privilege! 280 degree front views of the moana, acres of lush green yonder with hahi, urupā, te waka aa kaihao and peaceful tranquility. Pickering Cottage stay was clean, with cosy nooks, traditional cuboards and their fittings, slanted walls, drift wood curtain rods and door handles. Good hotel choice in Orewa

"Overall good hotel right at the water. We had a room without sea view, quiet with parking directly in front of the room. Bed was super comfy, however the room could've had a little more thought put into it. There were no electrical outlets next to the bed, plus the switch for the night stand lights could not be reached when lying in bed. The windows could not be closed, so we had bugs inside. The bathroom did not have a fan to expel the moist air, which causes problems on the ceiling. In addition to that, the joints in the shower could use some extended cleaning or replacement. Overall good (8/10) but some room for improvement."
