„We enjoyed our stay! Downfall is the stairs but we managed! Recommendation is electrical hookups near pier would be nice for charging boat. We had to run two 100 ft cords to be able to do so! The two water moccasins that kept swimming near pier was a little intimidating! Other than that cabin was nice and the view was serene!!“

„This stay was overall one of my family's favorites! The house was cozy and so so cute. Perfect for my family of 5, including three young children! Having everything I needed to cook/clean as normal and be able to relax and sit on the back porch and watch the kids play. The location is perfect for any outings desired. It's the perfect little piece of paradise!“

„A rustic country getaway. This was such a pleasure to be - quiet, sitting on the porch watching the birds and looking the beautiful scenery with the lake out front. The fishing right front yard. The greatest hospitality from our host. We could not have had a better week with quiet tranquility, fishing , and a wonder host in God’s country.“

It was a very chilly weekend, so really just chilled inside, our son and daughter in law braved the chilly weather and tried to fish off boat house, but no luck. We truly enjoyed the view. Definitely plan on going back late spring early summer. Would love to take grandchildren there.“

„The view was amazing! We had a great time fishing from the pier, celebrating the upcoming arrival of a new family member with a baby shower, playing games and relaxing! The hosts are very accommodating and even gave us a tour of the other property available for rent on location which was also great . This is a great place to stay at the lake!“

„The property is very unique in its style and layout. The interior of the house was very clean and orderly. The outdoor furnishings could use a little TLC. Several chairs were unusable due to deterioration of the webbing. Also, there was a hammock hanging that was also in unusable condition. Overall, however, we still did enjoy the place and our stay and would most probably rent again.“

„Polo’s Retreat was a great unit for our group of friends that visit Toledo Bend every year for fishing. It was clean and well equipped with updated appliances. Views from the screen porch were lovely. Will probably book again ext year!“

„The location was excellent. Upon arrival, the hosts greeted me and explained the layout and rules. The hosts were exceptional and very helpful. The lake house was perfect for watching college baseball while cooking and enjoying the outdoors. One of my best experiences renting on the lake!“

„Your rental was perfect for our 4 person group. We love the location, the balconies and warf area were perfect for our cookouts and gathering. Our only complaint, which im sure is out of your control, is that the trash dump is not open in the most convenient hours so we ended up taking trash with us. Other than that we definitely plan to re-visit on our annual outing next may. The VRBO site would not allow me to book that far in advance so i'm hoping i can get this same, great place.“
