There is one bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, along with a separate WC for convenience when travelling as a group. The apartment sits on the first floor, with lift access throughout the building, so arriving with luggage is straightforward.

Rather than a separate living room, the apartment is built around a kitchen with a dining area at its heart, a simple, functional space for breakfast before heading out or a quick meal in the evening. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances, including a washing machine, and the apartment retains some lovely original touches from the building's Victorian character, including stained-glass detailing and period cornicing, alongside a clean, comfortable grey-and-white interior throughout.

Within easy walking distance are the capital's three great museums, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, along with the leafy expanse of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens for a morning walk or afternoon picnic. The area is equally well known for its food and drink scene: Daquise, a much-loved Polish institution just by the station, is perfect for hearty classics and vodka, while Ognisko serves refined Polish dining in an elegant setting, and Yashin Ocean House offers inventive, theatrical sushi nearby on Old Brompton Road.
