„Exceptionally lovely and historic log cabin! Everything was clean and comfortable. Quick and strong hot water and modern fixtures made for great showers and an amazing bath in the beautiful claw-foot tub. Lovely gardens surround the house. The country road in front of the house is quiet. Nan was responsive and helpful. We'll be back!“

„The private setting was idyllic for this 18th century farm house. The rolling hills, woodlands, and landscaping, plus the yellow cow who kept watch over us, made for a fairytale weekend. The house was beautifully restored, with amenities added that did not detract from the historical appeal. Edwina had everything that we needed to make our stay lovely, right down to a plate of delicious homemade cookies on our arrival. „This was a lovely retreat for myself. Having different options to sit outside was beneficial and i especially liked looking over the hill by the bedroom while enjoying the dawn and dusk sun. I appreciated the amenities and spacious areas. Though i noticed it in the pictures, i was surprised by no curtains on the windows, especially over the bedroom glass door. The area is private but no way to block out the sun. “

However, the paper thin walls separating the two apartments make it not so quiet inside. The master bedroom is excellent - quiet and comfortable. „Tucked away on a small residentialroad, right on the Susquehanna river, the property offers the traveler a hidden getaway between York and Lancaster, with modern bath, kitchen and living room. The owner is accessible and kind. The views are panoramic and the tub on the porch restorative. The most fun was wandering the unexplored region and discovering Becky’s Kitchen, High Top viewing hill, the National Clock museum and Dutch Apple Dinner theater. A happy adventure!“

This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses.
