Extremely Disappointing Stay – We Won’t Be Returning
We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times before, but this most recent experience was completely unacceptable.
When we arrived, we were told there was a booking issue despite having a confirmed reservation. The staff offered a $20 credit for a future stay as compensation. While not ideal, we accepted it and tried to be understanding.
However, things quickly went downhill. When entering our room, there was a foul smell. We were only there for about 45 minutes before heading out for the day. When we returned, the smell still there.
my 9-year-old daughter discovered a wad of toilet paper with feces on it under the kitchen counter, which was the source of the odor. We immediately contacted the front desk. Later, they called back to say no one was available to clean it. I had to go downstairs to speak with someone in person, and they simply gave me a card and told me to file a formal complaint and ask for a refund.
To make things worse, the toilet in our room ran loudly all night, making it very difficult to sleep.
At checkout, she mentioned she had inspected the room before we arrived and made comments that suggested she didn’t believe our account—essentially implying we could have caused the issue ourselves, which was deeply offensive.
We have photo and video evidence of everything. Sadly we will not be returning. Traveling with children, we expected basic cleanliness and professionalism. We got neither!
