„This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !“

„Ich kann mir keine bessere Unterkunft für einen Städtetrip in York vorstellen!!! Das Hotel hat erst im Juni 2026 eröffnet. Alles war sehr sauber und die Zimmer mit Bad und Küche (sogar inkl. Ofen, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine) sind perfekt ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Zimmer nach hinten raus zudem auch sehr ruhig, trotz der zentralen Lage. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage (damit wird auf der Hotel Website auch nicht geworben), dennoch war mein Zimmer zum Innenhof angenehm kühl. ...

„A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again.“

"Mitten in Harrogate, direkt gegenüber von Bettys Tea Rooms — die Lage ist kaum zu toppen. Das viktorianische Gebäude hat echten Charakter, die Bar lädt zum Verweilen ein, und die Zimmer sind wirklich schön. Dass wir beim Check-in noch ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen haben, hat den Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet. Sehr gerne wieder!"

"I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served in a lack luster way. Again with breakfast the food was great but I can't imagine sitting in the bar to eat, the buffet is so far away my food would have been cold before I got to the table!! So we took it in turn to eat so one of us could stay with the dog. There is a small area to the left as you enter which could be used as a dog friendly area.... well away from the buffet, I see that often in other restaurants and hotels! The spa area was very pleasant and a welcome break to relax on our long journey. Also the location and grounds were lovely, sitting on the terrace in the early morning sun and quiet was also a highlight. In summary dated and unloved but a perfectly quiet and relaxing break from a long journey."

"Das Hotel ist ein wunderschönes altes Schätzchen. Alles gepflegt und sehr gut erhalten. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir wollten das Hotel fast nicht verlassen, weil es so schön war! Man fühlte sich in die prächtige Viktorianische Zeit versetzt, nur mit dem heutigen Komfort und den Bequemlichkeiten. Wir denken immer wieder gern zurück an die wunderschöne Zeit im The Milner York. Werden es wärmstens weiterempfehlen."
