„If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.“

„One of the best stays I’ve had. Very good value for money, absolutely lovely house and host, I would strongly recommend! It’s isolated and located right on a rich network of footpaths which is perfect for a countryside retreat. In December, the garden and surroundings were still full of birds and interesting mushrooms. „A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.“

„Man kann alles nur mit den meisten Sternen bewerten. Eine Gastgeberin wie Penny kann man sich nur wünschen. Um die Jahreszeit war es schon recht früh dunkel. Alles kein Problem so gegen 16:00 h wieder einkehren, Kessel an teatime im Wohnzimmer sitzen und sich wohlfühlen. Bei der Anreise beim eintreten begrüßte uns schon der Tannenbaum. Man fühlte sich von Anfang bis Ende zu Hause. War wohl nicht der letzte Besuch.“

The entire property is gorgeous and the hosts were so warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Our stay coincided with a period of warm weather so we got to enjoy beautiful summer evenings strolling about on a countryside estate watching foxes play on the adjacent field.
