An interesting stay
Where to begin?
The single wide trailer is perfect for a couple, but outside of that, I would think it was too small.
When we arrived, there was no TP, dish soap or paper towels. My poor wife had to use the restroom. We immediately ran to the grocery store in Belfast to grab some supplies and food for the stay. Once we arrived back, the property owner had the same supplies we just purchased that being dropped off (oh well). You share the property with a kayak rental place that I believe is owned by the same person. There were Kayaks and canoes everywhere.
The single wide is nice if you are expecting a more economical stay. The bathroom is extremely dated - tub feels like it's from the 80's The kitchen has gaps in the cabinets at the seams. The was no dish rack for drying dishes, as well as no drain plug to.hold water. We used a large bowl for a wash bucket for dishes and a towel laid down to dry. The coffee maker leaked water, so using it wasn't an option. That was unfortunate because I really wanted coffee. The location wasn't great, as being close to the highway, road noise was pretty constant. There was a piece of rebar sticking up in the ground out front that was barely noticeable. Normally not much of a concern, our 1 year old daughter found herself tripping over it. The bed was a really firm. It felt similar to sleeping on the floor. The closet door closed, and never reopened - it refused to, really.
One thing we noticed was there was no airflow in the back of the house where the bedroom was. On the warmed days, we had to move the floor fan to circulate some air. The large ceiling fan in the bedroom seems useless. Airflow was a minimum when it was on.
If you needed a roof over your head with the luxury of being able to make some food, this place works.
If you are wanting a nicer place aesthetically, I would recommend somewhere else.
FYI we never took advantage of.our free kayak rental, which seemed like a great deal.
