Cozy & Convenient Cottage

This older home is basic but cute! It's being renovated bit by bit for functionality (more than looks) so it still holds the comfy cozy feel of a cottage. It has been painted, upgraded, and fully furnished with you and your family mind.

Our little secret: This is an amazing LOCATION with ample yard for BBQs and extended family hangs!

This cozy home is a straight shot to Lewes Beach and only a quick 2 miles away. It is HARD TO BEAT! We’ve kept it simple but still supplied all the basics you need to fully enjoy your stay.

Parking and yard space is plentiful (enough to park a boat if you choose). Access to the entire house is yours! Inside your temporary beach home, you will find everything you need to cook a meal or two (if you choose), a keurig, all appliances necessary, washer, dryer, and just a touch of local-made beach flair! Each room has closet space for your belongings. As nice as the cottage is, we don't expect you will be spending loads of time there. You will be sleeping MINUTES FROM THE BEACH and downtown Lewes! In the off chance you do get stuck inside, we got you covered! The cottage has tv with streaming capabilities, puzzles, books and games for many different ages. (Some guests like to put the games in the end table drawers so don't be afraid to look for them.)

We provide self check-in for your convenience. A message will be sent via Airbnb messenger the day of your arrival at noon! This allows you to arrive on your own time with a specific and secure code assigned only to you.

We are available but only on an as needed basis.

The area is safe and along the main drag to Lewes Beach! It’s not based in a neighborhood but close to a few other houses and doctor’s offices. There’s lots of grass and open areas in both the front and back yards.

Lewes Diner (typically opened 24-hours) and Teller Wine is within walking distance! There is a local/privately owned gas station (Hazards) just down the street as well. Grab a delicious sandwich from Patty’s deli on your way to the beach. It’s about half way and along your direct route.

There is no cable. We will have wifi and the ability to stream (with your accounts) so we have ya covered there.

When you arrive, you will see you can get around best in your car but will also be able to bike to the beach. However, if you are planning a long day at the beach and lugging a bunch of stuff, it may not be the best option. *If you are venturing into Rehoboth, traveling by vehicle is best. (Dart bus or Uber are also options)

We are very close to the bike/walking trails that extend from Georgetown (Northwest of us) to Rehoboth (South). No matter what your biking level the distance will prove to be enjoyable although you won't find any hills on your route (you're best bet is the Great Dune in the Lewes side of the State Park).

Access to the bike trail is maybe 1/2 mile from the house. You can travel towards the hustle and bustle of downtown or head the other direction for a nice quiet ride along the trail. Old World Breads is a favorite stop for many trail-goers and locals alike. It is about a mile or two in the opposite direction of the beach.

Parking at the home is FREE but during the peak seasons (May-October) we recommend downloading the "Park Mobile" App for public parking in downtown Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey Beach. The park & ride transit station is a mile from the house and on your way to all the beaches south of Lewes, if you want to avoid paying to park. There is also a new means of transportation around Lewes called the Lewes Line and the closest pickup is at the high school

Using Uber or Lyft is a great way to get around and can eliminate the parking situation all together. The State Park entry fee is $8 (DE Plates) or $10 (out of state) for the day.

Linens & towels are now being provided at this home!

If you book your stay during the week, please be aware trash & recycling are collected on Wednesdays. Therefore you may see someone rolling the bins out on Tuesday night for pickup then placing them back in their spot Wednesday morning.

Please do not open windows during your stay. There are heating/AC units in each room to keep your comfortable. Please take off shoes upon entering the house.

**Be considerate and aware of our quiet hours (10pm-8am) when hanging out outside and playing music inside or out. While we understand you are on vacation and so happy you chose to stay with us, our neighbors are local, hard working people and we want to respect their home/space/schedule.**

No candle burning in the house. All guest must be at least 21 years old or accompanied by an adult. No illegal activity is permitted.
