„We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there“

„The hotel is well placed to explore the area. The room was comfortable, clean and great for the 2 nights we stayed. The bar was cosy with the wood burner on, breakfast set you up for the day and dinner was tasty and substantial 😁 The staff were friendly and helpful; we would stay again“

„Amsauberes Zimmer - nettes hilfsbereites Personal - gutes Frühstück“

The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.“

„I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. „Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back“

„Lovely stay here. The room was fantastic, staff helpful and breakfast was amazing. The chauffeur ride into Cartmel was also a great touch. We shall return!“

„Eigentlich ein tolles altes Gebäude aber der Zustand war ehr heruntergekommen. Das Bad war eine Zumutung nur mit Badewanne ohne Duschmöglichkeit. Sehr hellhörig.“

„Clean and comfortable room, very friendly staff and the breakfast was outstanding. Excellent value for money“
