„Stephen and Lynne were most helpful when we found our car had a flat, filling the tire and directing us to a nearby repair shop. Breakfast was excellent and featured a nice selection. Service from the staff was excellent. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Beautiful surroundings as well and easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee, bakery and ice cream treats! “

„Good Central location but the room was cold without possibility to warm the 2 rooms at the same time with the small portable heating device and the shower was not working ... „The Grassington Lodge is truly minimalist. A very small room, two bath towels, and one hand towel. For the third of three nights they added a bath mat and a bar of soap. The only staff ever present was the cleaning lady and her assistant. She was kind and helpful but certainly not enough to welcome and assist guests. “

„Leider sind die Zimmer und Fenster sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße und konnten jedes Wort verstehen, was dort erzählt wurde. Genauso mit dem Zimmer nebenan. Man hörte sogar, wie die Kaffeemaschine nebenan gelaufen ist... Ein Grund, dass Hotel nicht als gut zu bewerten.“

„Nettes Herrenhaus -wir wurden super freundlich empfangen! 15 Minuten Fußweg vom Zentrum York Sehr sauber & gepflegt, Parkplätze vorhanden Frühstück Teilweise Selbstbedienung( frisches Obst, Joghurt, Müsli….); warme Speisen werden nach Wunsch zubereitet. Kaffee: French press WLAN: im Dachgeschoss sehr schlecht , im EG gut Unser Zimmer hat eine Gaube und war dadurch nicht vollständig zu verdunkeln; das 2. Fenster ( Velux)hat ein Verdunklungsrollo) “

"The check-in with the staff with the ring through her nose was a bit sad. Not very friendly and didn't care or explained anything. I wrote an email a day before checking to request a quiet room. No-one answered and also the lady with the nose ring at reception didn't care at all. "It should be quiet" - nope, was not, room facing a 4 lane street above a bus stop. Bed was comfortable, no fridge in room. Breakfast was good. Sadly no gym. "
