„Unplugging from regular life for a week was great, nephew (age 7) went through withdrawl from the internet though. So many places to go hiking we were busy all the time. Going to town for groceries wasn't bad! The river was a bit cool for swimming, but was a grand adventure regardless. Definitely recommend!“

„This place is exactly what we needed for a girls weekend away. Nice cozy cabin. Excellent fire ring for a campfire. Hot tub set up is very nice. The property is beautiful, and there is a lot of wildlife around. The ponds on the property are really nice, containing lots of fish, frogs, tadpoles, salamanders, and other critters. „The weather didn't cooperate with our plans, but the house did! It was perfect for our needs. We really appreciated the location and the view of the forest. “

„This cabin was awesome and filled with unique treasures from the owner's world travels. The view was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our meals. They even had hummingbird nectar and we filled the feeder and were able to see the hummingbirds a lot during our stay. We went fishing in the nearby Sand Run Lake and caught some bass. This was a great location since it was close to Canaan Valley ...

„We were there for sad reasons (funeral) but it was a light in the dark to stay at this cozy cabin. It was perfect for us both to relax and unwind after a hard day. Fully recommend! “

„My husband and I stayed here in mid-April for a spring getaway for a few days. We absolutely loved the home's proximity to trails, including those at Blackwater Falls State park. The home was just what we needed - cozy and centrally located. Our host was excellent and very responsive when we reached out. We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to future visits!“

„Rustic but new, clean and comfortable place to stay that was very quiet and removed from only other rental along the gravel road. Outhouse was very clean, no bugs, and easy to use despite needing to go outside to the corner of the cabin. Hosts very responsive and helpful, would stay again. „The property is very nice. It's apparent a lot of upgrades have been made and more to come. Heck, there's even tissues throughout the house which you don't find many places. The only pick I have is that steps leading down to the house were barely cleared of snow/ice and very difficult and dangerous to negotiate with suitcases. I shoveled them myself the next day.“

„The cabin was very nice & clean. Sherry & Okey makes you feel like family with the fresh eggs & salads they provided for us. If you do have a dog like we do they also make the dog feel very welcomed. I would most definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants peace & quiet & a beautiful view of the mountains.“
