„Perfect getaway from others to work and relax! It is a hunting lodge, so it isn't anything fancy. However, we had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. There was only 2 of us, so we didn't really use the whole cabin to review on a larger scale.Pool and hot tub were clean and great to be able to use throughout our stay. Air conditioning was always cold during this heatwave. Ceiling fans and small portable fans were great to have in rooms to keep air circulating.A lot of ...

„Overall good property but could use a little updating/clean up, all around the property is clutter. Around the pool there are left over items from previous guests, pool cover (ripped), broken chairs, etc. there is also a lot of extra leftover items below deck around hot tub and fire pit. Property just need a little maintenance - light bulbs need changed, pool is leaking, etc.We had a lot of fun but a few items that would have made it perfect! It was a fun experience for our extended family!“

„Host was attentive to my questions and responded to any inquires in good time. We had a very nice time with family.“

„The location and view was great, quiet. Air conditioner didn’t work the second night it was 85 degrees inside, first night was cool outside so wasn’t noticeable. We didn’t get back till late so we didn’t bother trying to get help with it. No working lights outside, blinds are all broken, fridge/freezer not cold my ice melted over night. Rodent killer bottle sitting outside the door. I cleaned the dehumidifier filter as it was completely coated with dust. The ac head is dirty so it probably needs ...

„Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible.“

„We loved our stay! Host was great to work with! The property was clean, comfy, and so cute!“

„We stayed here for our anniversary and left feeling so refreshed and grateful. The cabin is beautiful, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches that made it easy to settle in and slow down. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars and waking up to the peaceful stillness around us—it really felt like a true getaway.Gays Mills is a very small town, so you’re truly stepping away from distractions and into rest, which was exactly what we needed. „My husband and I found ourselves with a couple of childfree days around my birthday and decided we wanted a quiet place to unplug during the day, relax, and watch scary movies at night without fear of waking up little kids. We did a quick search on VRBO and landed on this cabin given its proximity to Minneapolis (not too far away, not too close) along what we assumed would be a nice, scenic drive. First, let’s talk about the location. Despite living 3.5 hours away for the last 20 years, I ...

„Simple, spacious, clean & convenient! Gave our family plenty of space to hang out, eat, sleep and get ready the day. Bonus that colorful flowers were blooming on the hillside.“
