For longer stays, you'll also have a free in-unit washer and dryer, plus an iron and drying rack.



Please note that the bathrooms are shared within the home and there is no ensuite bathroom.

If you’re looking to explore further, renting a bicycle is a popular option, and there are well-marked pathways that provide spectacular views along the way.



For those venturing beyond the immediate town center, driving is typically the most convenient method—especially if you plan to visit Mount John Observatory or other scenic spots around the region. If you’re without a car, several local tour operators and shuttle services offer guided experiences, making it easy to see the area’s highlights without the hassle of navigating on your own.

🚶🏻‍♂️ Please note: This property may not be suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility needs. The property has 12 step flight of stairs, and guests will need to access some set of stairs to get into the entrance and balcony. The unit itself is single level with no stairs inside.

🚽 A Quick Note About the Plumbing



To help protect Lake Tekapo’s plumbing system, please flush toilet paper only. Place all wipes—including those labelled “flushable”—in the rubbish bin provided. Thank you for helping us care for the property and the local infrastructure.



★ SAFETY DEPOSIT OR DAMAGE WAIVER REQUIRED ★



We understand that accidents can happen. To help protect the space and ensure a worry-free stay, all reservations require either a damage waiver or a safety deposit.



You can choose the option that works best for you: a non-refundable damage waiver ranging from $39 up to $79, which covers accidental damage and normal wear and tear (no deductible) or a refundable safety deposit of $450, which will be returned after checkout as long as no damage is found and all house rules are followed.



If you've already purchased Damage Protection Insurance through a third-party provider, feel free to share your policy with us-we're happy to

review it and we may consider waving the requirement based on your coverage.



Please note: The damage waiver does not cover damage caused by house rule violations.



🔑 Only one property access key/fob is provided as standard. Additional key/fob must be requested before arrival. A replacement fee of NZD $250 applies for each lost key or fob.
