1. Double Queen Room - 2QD

Lake Placid

„Room was clean, warm, and very accessible to Main Street. My only concerns were that the walls were extremely thin and we would easily hear people’s voices, with a single closet door separating our room from other guests’ rooms. Fixtures/handles seem to be poorly built as well. A coat hook fell as soon as we hung a jacket, water pressure was weak, the shower faucet handle detached, couldn’t figure out how to turn on hot water, and the sliding shower door doesn’t stay closed. Not sure if we’d ...

„This Lake Placid cottage was perfect for us! We were in town for the horse show, and very much appreciated being able to come home after a long day to hang out on the porch while the dogs played in the yard. The location is great, too. Close to everything, and an especially easy walk to the public beach area on Mirror Lake, which was a major perk.We ended up using both bedrooms and the sofa bed in the upstairs living room for a friend who came to visit for the weekend. All in all, it was a ...

„Our stay at Mountain View Loj exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and comfortable for our sibling vacation--3 couples and two of our adult children. Beds were comfortable, AC worked during the brief heat wave, the kitchen was well equipped, and check out was as easy as any vacation rental. When we did have a little problem, the owner was over in 10 minutes to fix it. The property manager was very responsive to any questions. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay. ...

„Beautiful house and location. Just what we were looking for in terms of size, rooms and features. Gorgeous property with sensational views. We enjoyed watching the many deer who roam the property.Renter BEWARE: We found two mice inside the home, numerous outside, and could hear others through the walls. I notified the owner, who quickly responded and called an exterminator. I would imagine this will be an ongoing issue and I would never rent this house again because of it.Other negatives with ...
