Just 1.5 hours from LA, you can escape the city and relax in our Prow-style cabin tucked away in the trees at the top of Lake Arrowhead. Out-of-state visitors and Californians alike are sure to fall in love with the "Dogwood Retreat.” This inimitable 864sqft Prow-face cabin has been renovated to feel spacious but homey and full of natural light. For the cherry on top, you'll find all the family-friendly attractions of Lake Arrowhead Village and the beauty of the lake, a mere two miles away.

The space
LOFT ROOM
The Loft room is a hybrid floor containing the kitchen and living room. During the day, enjoy nature as it streams through the windows on every side of the house. At night, the loft room transforms into the best sleeping situation in the house with a full-sized pull-out couch.The space feels warm, cozy, and serene, with knotty vaulted ceilings and a rock wall fireplace. Wake to tranquil views and move to the balcony toward a secluded tree canopy view. Please note the Loft Room does not have blinds to enhance the views.
In the Loft room, you can watch your favorite movies on a wall-mounted swivel 65” Smart LED TV, integrated with streaming services, or listen to your tunes on the WIFI-Connected bathroom speaker. Lastly, the loft room is equipped with a desk to accommodate the traveling professionals.

NOTE:The loft room features a spacious couch that doubles as a sleeping area, perfect for relaxing or accommodating additional guests. You'll also find two comfortable green chairs and a versatile workstation chair that can be easily moved throughout the cabin to suit your needs. The cozy atmosphere of the loft room makes it an inviting space, and with the use of dining chairs, it can seat up to six people for a gathering or shared meal, or late-night movie.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is stocked with utensils and cookware you need to prepare a meal. You'll find a complete set of cups, plates, and bowls to accommodate up to six guests.

SLEEPING QUARTERS:
NOTE: This property can sleep 6 guests but is better suited for couples and 4 guests . There are 2 designated bedrooms and the Loft room. The bedrooms have privacy curtains, while the loft room has no curtains, maximizing light and giving the space a treehouse ambiance.

All sleeping quarters are equipped with wall heaters to ensure a cozy and warm stay. For added comfort, the downstairs bedrooms also include portable heaters, perfect for those chilly nights. The loft room is warmed by the inviting glow of the fireplace, offering both heat and ambiance. While the wall heaters are efficient in producing heat, please note that they may generate some noise during operation.

BATHROOM
The Dogwood Retreat lavatory was inspired by the surrounding landscape and features a large walk-in shower, a WiFi-connected bathroom speaker, and a wall heater.

BACKYARD OASIS
Step outside onto our expansive deck overlooking a picturesque backyard. Here, you’ll find;
Relaxation Spaces: Unwind and stretch on the YOGAdeck or layout while looking at the tree canopy above

Fire Pit: Gather around the fire pit in the evening for s’mores and storytelling, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Outdoor Hot Tub: Soak away your cares in our outdoor hot tub under the stars, surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature.
The Hot Tub is available during spring, summer and fall from May-November, weather permitting (If there is snow or winter condition below 45, the hot tub will not be set up because the coils freeze and the tub wont actually heat up).

NOTE: There are stairs leading from the main bedrooms downstairs to the loft room. Please note that these stairs can be quite steep, which might be challenging for individuals with mobility issues.

Other things to note
SECURITY CAMERAS:
We only have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the property's exterior. They are located on the front entrance (facing the driveway), front door, and back of the cabin (facing the backyard). These security cameras are focused on the entryways and designed for you to maintain your safety and privacy while enjoying our home.

PARKING
There is parking in the driveway available for 2 large vehicles. Please use a wheel chock.
Please note the property is in a mountain community, and our driveway is quite steep, which can be precarious, especially in colder weather.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
The cabin is located in the mountains, where inclement weather is frequent and sometimes unpredictable. Please be aware that the home does not have a backup generator, and weather-related events are outside of our control. Southern California Edison, the local utility provider, may proactively shut off power during high fire-risk conditions to help prevent wildfires. For this reason, we do not offer refunds for disruptions caused by weather or utility outages.

WINTER CONDITIONS
Winter Season Bookings: During the winter (late October to early May), please be prepared with snow chains in the event a winter storm is in the forecast.

R2 conditions require snow chains on 2WD vehicles.
R3 conditions require chains on ALL vehicles, including AWD/4WD.
WINTER SNOW SEASON—Lake Arrowhead can see considerable snow accumulation during the winter snow season. Four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended, and carrying snow chains with you is a must.
** Please note: It snows in Lake Arrowhead, and chains are REQUIRED on steep mountain roads. If you're booking in winter, please be prepared for snow.
We offer shovels and de-icing salt for your use if needed.
Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not cleared, and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear county roads. As always, let us know your needs, and we will work to make your stay wonderful. Thank you!

- The Hot Tub is available during spring, summer and fall from May-October, weather permitting (If there is snow or winter condition below 45, the hot tub will not be set up because the coils freeze and the tub wont actually heat up).
- No smoking inside or outside of the cabin due to high fire risk.
- No wood burning fire of any kind, anywhere.
- Pet friendly w/ $75 fee (1 dog max)
- No events, parties, or large gatherings (Fines incurred are passed to the guest)

- Must be at least 25 years old to book

- Photo ID may be required upon check-in
-Guests over the maximum occupancy of 6 will result in a $125 fee per guest per day with an additional cleaning charge.
- NOTE: The Arrowhead Lake Association (ALA) prohibits non-members from accessing the two ALA beach clubs, the gated Arrowhead Lake perimeer trail, ALA member-owned docks on Lake Arrowhead, and Grass Valley Park unless accompanied by an ALA member. All guests can still enjoy the lake at Lake Arrowhead Village, book a boat tour on the Arrowhead Queen, and visit other lakes, parks, and trails in the area

✹ While we strive to maintain a bug-free environment, please note that being in nature means bugs are part of the experience. Rest assured, we've taken measures to minimize their presence. However, the existence of bugs in/around spa amentities are 100% out of host's control. Please keep doors closed while relaxing on decks to prevent from critters to join your stay indoors.

✹The stair in the cabin can be steep. If you're not comfortable climbing or walking on steep steps I would recommend booking another listing.

✹ PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING BUT TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILETS. Items that can clog the system include but do not limit the following: baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, hair, etc. Trash cans are provided in the bathrooms. Thank you for your cooperation.

✹Ensuring the safety of our guests is our utmost priority. We kindly request our guests to refrain from standing or sitting on the balcony railings. Additionally, we have a steep staircase that can be hazardous, especially for children, and therefore, adult supervision is highly recommended. If you are travelling with children, please be mindful that you are responsible for their safety at all times. lol
