THE SPACE
Whispering Waters Chalet is a wooded 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath Masthope Mountain retreat built for families, friends, and year-round mountain getaways. The home blends a peaceful chalet setting with plenty of space to relax, reconnect, and have fun.

THE HOUSE
The main level features an open kitchen, dining, and living area, making it easy for everyone to gather for meals, games, movies, and conversation. The main level also includes the primary bedroom, full bath and deck.

On the ground floor, the finished entertainment room is the highlight of the home. Enjoy two standing arcade games loaded with 80s and 90s classics, including Ms. Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat, plus a pool table, dart board, reclining couch, and smart TV. It’s the perfect space for rainy days, ski nights, and friendly competition.

The top floor features two bedrooms - one with a full sized bed and one with a bunk bed and single bed - a bathroom, and workspace.

The home includes modern renovated bathrooms, comfortable beds, two pull-out couches, tons of board games, washer and dryer, hotel-quality linens, towels, pillows, and basic necessities. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, water dispense and a selection of seasonings. Smart TVs are available in the main living room, basement, master bedroom, and guest bedroom.

OUTSIDE
Enjoy a spacious deck with a BBQ grill, wooded views, and a firepit tucked among the trees. Whether you’re visiting for Ski Big Bear, Masthope lake days, hiking, horseback riding, or simply a quiet escape, Whispering Waters Chalet gives you the best of comfort, entertainment, and mountain relaxation.

THINGS TO NOTE
The firepit is available for guest use when local conditions allow. Please use caution, never leave a fire unattended, and fully extinguish all flames before leaving the area or going to bed.

There are neighbors in the community, and sound can carry in the woods. Please keep outdoor noise to a respectful level, especially in the evening. The community's quiet period is 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

No smoking or vaping inside the home.

The property is equipped to sleep up to 10 people, including children and infants.

Guest access
Check-in is simple and contactless with a smart lock. A unique access code will be provided before arrival, so you can let yourself in and settle in at your convenience.

While we offer flexible check-in, arrivals after 9:00 PM require a security escort, per community rules and availability.

Whispering Waters Chalet is located in the private, four-season Masthope Mountain Community in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania. The community offers year-round activities, making it a great destination for ski weekends, summer lake days, family getaways, and quiet mountain escapes.

In the fall, enjoy breathtaking foliage views while hiking and trail riding.

In the winter, guests are minutes away from Ski Big Bear for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Our guests receive a 25% discount on lift tickets!

During warmer months, enjoy the white sand beach at Westcolang Lake, two heated Olympic-sized pools, the poolside Tiki Bar, playgrounds, tennis and pickleball courts, mini golf, horseback riding, fitness center, dining options, and other seasonal recreation, and panoramic mountain views at the Summit Restaurant.

Nearby attractions include the Delaware River, Lake Wallenpaupack, Woodloch Resort, local hiking trails, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and small-town shops. Whether you want outdoor adventure or a peaceful mountain retreat, Masthope gives you plenty to enjoy in every season.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
Masthope amenity passes are available for guests who want to use community amenities. Current pricing is $10 per person, per day, and children under two are free. Amenity passes are purchased directly through the Masthope Community Office during your stay. These passes are required for amenities such as the pool, lake, beach, fitness center, and other shared community facilities.

Guest registration is required by Masthope Mountain Community. Required guest information must be submitted before arrival so the community can process your stay. Name and contact info for each guest and make, model and license plate of vehicles parking at the property are required. If guest documentation is not provided on time, Masthope may charge a late registration fee.

Pool and beach access are typically seasonal, usually from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Please note that the community MINIMUM age requirement is 30 years old for the lead renter OR all staying at the property must be 25, except for children.
