Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel

"Das Hotel ist typisch amerikanisch, sehr praktisch, und auch in guter Gehdistanz zur Stadt, 7 Minuten durch eine Strasse und eine Fussgängerzone, und schon ist man am grossen Brunnen. Der Pool ist sehr warm und stark gechlort, wahrscheinlich wegen der vielen Kinder, die den Pool nicht mehr verlassen wollen. Die ganze Poolarea müsste dringend aufgefrischt werden, das Holz sieht nicht mehr gut aus, und eine Plastikdichtung hing ins Wasser hinein. Die Frühstücksarea mochte dem grossen Ansturm kaum standhalten. Die Gänge sind etwas eng, es hat von allem zu wenig, Tassen, Teller, Bowlen. Die Speisen sind lecker. Trotz allem würde ich erneut im Renaissance absteigen, vor allem wegen der Nähe zur Stadt und der guten Parkmöglichkeiten."

"Das Deluxe Zimmer war sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Etwas eng, aber dennoch komfortabel. Besonders positiv war die Überraschung für unseren Hund. Im Zimmer lag ein Napf bereit mit Leckerlies und einer Informationskarte, wo es Parks in der Nähe gibt."

"Beautiful property with a warm and calming atmosphere. Most of the staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially in the restaurant. Anabelle stood out for her exceptional customer service. She was genuinely attentive, professional, and made us feel very welcome. There were, however, a few points that were disappointing and that we would not expect from a Relais & Châteaux hotel in this price range. Although we had specifically requested a quiet room, our room (103) was quite noisy. The doors were not well soundproofed, and there was another room directly next to ours, so we could clearly hear conversations as well as people entering and leaving, which affected our comfort. In addition, the room had only been prepared for one guest, even though our reservation was for two people. While this was resolved, it was an oversight that should not happen at this level of hospitality. Finally, we chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday, which was mentioned when booking. While we did not expect anything extravagant, it would have been nice if the occasion had been acknowledged in some small way. A simple birthday greeting or a small gesture would have made the stay feel more personal and memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful setting and the friendliness of the staff, but a few details fell short of the standards we associate with a Relais & Châteaux property."
