Condo needs maintenance and tlc
The condo was not super clean upon arrival: old dirty bathing suit in one of the drawers, dirty shower doors, lots of sand in the drier. We had a ton of maintenance issues during our stay as well: ice maker and water filter in fridge do not work, AC started dripping profusely and we had to shut it off, it was never fixed during our stay. The hallway lights didn’t work. The lanai screen door stuck a ton and was pretty hard to slide open and closed. No hot water in the shower (for a 9pm shower, not even peak time for hot water usage). The worst issue, however, was the door. Several times, the code box wouldn’t even light up when we pressed buttons on it and we had to wait or try many times (10 minutes or so) to even get it to light up. Apparently maintenance came by to change the batteries in it, but it happened after that too so I’m not sure. On our first night, after returning from dinner with tired and jet lagged children, we couldn’t get the code box to work for an hour and were stuck outside. The rental company told us different codes to try and none worked; even their master code. The lock would just turn and turn for a long time without clicking open. Then, they gave us the code to the lockbox that is supposed to contain the master key, but it was a pool key and didn’t work on the door at all. A lock smith came and confirmed that the lock was not functioning properly, and they replaced the pool key with the master key.
