"Das Hotel Kastro liegt sehr zentral und ruhig in der Innenstadt von Heraklion. Wir hatten ein einfaches, sehr sauberes Zimmer mit großem Safe, das völlig ausreichend war. Das Hotel verfügt über eine Dachterrasse, auf der man abends den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Genial ist der Kühlschrank (Geldeinwurf) am Eingang zur Dachterrasse mit verschiedenen Getränken und kleinen Snacks. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und schmackhaft. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen. "

"We went to a one week trip to Heraklion and found via Expedia this nice hotel. It is directly located in the city center. Shops, nice restaurants and nice and interesting places to visit like the H Harbour are very close by in 5 to 10 min walk distance. The staff is very nice and always happy to help to give advice when and where to go. The rooms have a nice modern styling and are very clean and well maintained. Our room had also a nice balcony, with chairs and a table. The hotel does also have a spa area with a swimming pool downstairs for which a reservation is necessary. There is no reservation fee for guests. We thought it is a good idea, that a reservation needs to be done, so the experience is nicer, because there is no risk, that the area might be overcrowded. An additional nice Pool is on the roof top with the roof top bar right next located to it. The roof top pool does not need a reservation. In summary, we really enjoyed staying at this hotel and will for sure come back for another stay in the future to visit Heraklion again."
