„We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together“

„Just returned from a week at Richmond House, where everything has been renovated to a high specification, which makes it a great holiday home. The kitchen is well equipped with quality brands. All the wardrobes and bedroom fittings have been well thought out. Big walk in shower and large free standing bath. Again all the bathrooms have been fitted and finished to a high standard. „Nice clean cottage in a small village up a hill with several walking routes starting from or passing your front door (check Komoot). Large box filled with information about the neighborhood. Interior is a bit outdated but matches the rental fee. Easy contact with host. Great wifi for the kids One suggestion: install flat ceiling lamps in kitchen and hallway to prevent (tall) people from bumping into them and accidently breaking them...“

„Property- fantastic. Many walks to forests/gardens/fells right from the property- Ferry to towns a 10 min walk. Grounds were charming- the kitchen is incredibly well kitted out for those who like to cook- very comfortable beds and the communication was great with the owners.“

„We had a wonderful stay in River Cottage. The house is fabulous, with everything you could possibly need. The views of the river are spectacular and we loved sitting in the conservatory watching it racing by. This house doesn't want for anything and was perfect for our family. We would highly recommend it.“

„Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr ruhig, dennoch nur ein Fußmarsch von 10-15min vom wunderschönen Städtchen Windemere entfernt. Das Haus ist für 6 Personen eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt , nur leider war das Internet/Wifi zu schwach. Dieses Ferienhaus können wir in jedenfall weiterempfehlen“

„Issue with the TV cutting out. Unsure if the smoke alarm works in room 9 as there was no light on it and no map of escape egress route if stairs not available.“
