Each bedroom is designed to highlight a piece of Kingston’s identity, blending comfort with locally inspired themes that bring the city’s history and natural beauty into your stay.

Bedroom 1: The Blush Shores Room | Queen Bed
Inspired by Kingston’s serene waterfront and soft sunrise hues, the Blush Shores Room blends warm blush tones, calming neutrals and touches of gold to create a relaxing and elegant retreat.

Bedroom 2: The Wolfe Island Mills Room | Full Bed
Inspired by Wolfe Island, the largest of the Thousand Islands and a beloved Kingston escape known for its windmills, ferry rides and pastoral views. Coral and aqua tones capture the island’s breezy coastal charm and bright rural landscapes.

Bedroom 3: The Cataraqui River Room | Full Bed
Named after the Cataraqui River, the waterway that flows through Kingston and forms part of the historic Rideau Canal system. Soothing shades of green reflect Kingston’s peaceful riverbanks and lush natural spaces.

Parking

Your reservation includes one free designated parking space on the private driveway, which is shared between the two units.

For guests who require additional parking, please reach out and we’ll do our best to suggest potential alternate parking arrangements, subject to availability and applicable City of Kingston parking rules.

Travelling with a larger group?

The Yellow Door Retreat and The Hideaway at The Yellow Door Retreat can be booked together, subject to availability, for exclusive use of the entire property.

Together, the two units offer 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2 full kitchens, 2 living rooms and 2 private in-suite laundry facilities, making it a great option for extended families, groups travelling together or guests who want more space while still enjoying the privacy of two separate living areas.

Guest access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire upper unit of The Yellow Door Retreat, including all bedrooms, living areas, kitchen and bathroom.

There are no shared indoor spaces with the second unit.
