A short while before my arrival, I contacted the property's manager to reconfirm that I was coming to check in.
To my surprise, the manager told me that my reservation was canceled due to a big group of guests was coming, with limited hosting capacity, they have to cancel my reservation.
This was unbelievable, I made a full payment for 2 nights with my credit card to Expedia app already as requested, I got a receipt from the App. But I couldn't have a room? Does it make sense? My taxi driver went to the property to get refund, but the lady manager said Expedia never paid them. I became a victim of what?
It's the first time I visit Kingston, Jamaica. I didn't know anywhere, knew nobody at all.
The nice taxi-driver tried to help me out from this tragedy, he drove round around, rounds, to find somewhere could take a guest without reservation, so I didn't have to sleep on the street. Who should pay the driver's extra effort, extra work time, who's responsible for my mental, physical and economical losses?
