Mixed bag. The good: great view, nicely decorated, easy walk to the beach, good condo complex, well stocked kitchen. The bad: air conditioner works poorly. Took hours for a small condo to cool. The ugly: very badly stained white carpet that should have been replaced years ago, and very noisy air conditioning unit about 6 feet away from bed made sleeping with AC on impossible - dealbreaker.

This condo has only partial to minimum ocean views obscured by stark, cut back vegetation of 6E that was under noisy renovation during our entire stay. The bedroom carpet has a large water stain off the bathroom concerning for mold. I notified the local team and guest relations to no avail and will avoid rentals through Vrbo in the future.

Excellent blend of being close and relaxing solitude!

Ekahi 5E is a beautiful condo that is well appointed in all areas: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living spaces. We loved the view to the ocean over the greenbelt. The greenbelt it full of colorful flowers and busy birds of all kinds! A short walk to the pool and beach is one of the best features of 5E. We enjoyed the solitude of feeling almost secluded and at the same time, Ekahi is perfectly located to explore all of South Maui and beyond!

Tired Unit With Vert Noisy Air conditioning

Tired decor, dirty rugs, and tech from the 90s, but the worst thing about the unit is the air conditioning is on the lanai just on the other side of the head of the dead and is worn out and noisy, requiring ear plugs. The best thing is the location and a nice view from the lanai.

Quiet and Relaxing

Nice property for a quiet and relaxing stay. Pool area was well maintained, and very nice beach area. The unit was located in a nice place, with a view of the water. Convenient to the pool and beach. The unit was a bit worn. The carpet was stained in multiple places, and the carpet felt dirty. The unit was well equipped.

Already planning our next visit

We’ve stayed in the Ekahi Village complex before but I think this is now our favorite unit :) Beautifully equipped, quiet unit with comfortable indoor/outdoor furniture, an extremely comfortable king size bed and nicely chosen linens/towels. We will be back :)

Our family had a lovely time at 5E. The Lanai was really amazing and we enjoyed using it for Coffee in the am and Sunsets in the pm. Overall a wonderful stay!

Home on vacation!

This is our 5th visit to 5E! We simply love everything about this unit. Location to the pool is excellent...Views are lovely...Kitchen has all the needs. We were very disappointed to have lost the closet however. The owners removed a closet to install "owner only" bunk beds. I am sure this must accommodate their family best. We just found it hard to only have one portion of a closet to use. Otherwise, it was another delightful stay!

Best Vacation Property in Wailea!

My family and my extended family have all stayed at condos in Ekahi Village multiple times over the past 15 years, and this was by far our best stay! The view from the lanai is SO MUCH BETTER than the photos in the listing! We could see whales breaching from the lanai, even without binoculars - although the binoculars provided at the condo made it even more spectacular. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning. The main pool and one of the quiet pools was just a couple minutes to walk, and we walked the beach and the Wailea Beach Path almost every day, all the way to The Shops of Wailea. Ekahi Village is so well kept with the gardens and trees, and the condo was so clean - especially loved having two updated bathrooms with fantastic modern showers (the one in the master was a rainfall shower). Kitchen was updated and well stocked. The only issue we ran into was that the washing machine was leaking and we couldn’t use it for the first half of our stay, but they ordered the part and repaired it so we did get to use it toward the end of our stay, which was very convenient. Great communication with the property management. The pool/beach gate code on the printout provided in the condo isn’t correct so if you stay here make sure to ask the property management for the updated code (we had to get it from one of the neighbors). Overall the best stay we could have hoped for - the views of the ocean and luxurious tropical gardens from the lanai are unmatched!!

Faces the green belt, lots of bird life, very private, some ocean view. Ekahi Village as a whole is a beautiful property, we’ve stayed in other units for many years.

Wailea paradise

Great Condo! Perfect location to beach and pool. Condo had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, the staff at the facility and coldwellisland vacations were great. Thank you for making our stay perfect !

Gorgeous, Well Furnished Unit

This unit was everything we could have wanted; it was tastefully decorated; had a very well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a great shower; featured a large balcony with a beautiful view; provided chairs and beach towels; and was a short walk to a beautiful pool and the ocean. It was near wonderful places to eat, a path along the ocean, good places to run and walk, and either Kihei Road or Highway 31 for travel north. We loved our stay.

Great location and beautiful view

This unit had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was organized and everything was labeled for ease of use. The location of the unit is very close to the oceanside pool, pavilion and a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. The lanai overlooks the beautiful grounds with an ocean view. It was a perfect place to stay.

Good clean Wailea condo exactly as advertised

Very good overall experience renting this condo for spring break week 2022. First off this is north Wailea and we only rent there instead of in a more "organic" part of Maui to get walking access to the beach and private pools for our young daughter. On both of these issues, this condo was perfect: the beach right outside was beautiful and not too crowded (if you walked on the shore less than 5'), and the private pools worked wonders for our daughter, so 5 stars based on that alone. The complex: - very well maintained at the price of a total "leaf-blower/pesticide" vibe, it feels like brutalized nature in beautiful Maui but we were expecting that and sadly that was exactly how it felt. - not designed for active people: no paddle board or kayak racks, no place to rinse and dry wetsuits or park bicycles. It feels a bit like a retirement community, mostly older folks and families with young kids. On the plus side folks staying there are considerate and quiet. The unit itself, 5E, is well located, but has some quirks: - The communication with the rental agent was a times laggy but mostly adequate, although we would have loved to communicate by text instead of phone call (hello, it's 2022!). One annoying mishap from the property management: we were given the wrong code for the complex gates, and in that complex that's a huge problem, you can't go anywhere without that code... The other biggest issue we had was a really strange alarm went off one morning and agents couldn't come for hours. We had to troubleshoot that ourselves.. Did you know people use water leak alarms under their sinks? Useful I guess, but you need to let your guests know they are there, especially if the sink is leaky... - The electronics, furnitures and interior feel dated. "Beautiful remodel" from the listing should not set high expectations. - Overall well equipped with decent appliances but stingy on certain staples: no laundry pods, barely enough dishwashing pods and coffee filters, no condiments. - The regular beach stuff you get with an hawaii rental was ok (towels, beach chairs) but sadly no sun umbrella and no beach toys! - We did hear some loud construction noise nearby during the day a couple of times, coupled with lawn mowers and leaf blowers, this wasn't always a peaceful daytime experience. Good thing we were out of the condo most of the day. At night it was always super quiet.

Beautiful condo to stay in Wailea

I really enjoyed staying at this property! It was very clean, it was beautiful, and the common areas on the property are wonderful! It was a fantastic place to stay for part of our honeymoon. Additionally, one of the showers we had a hard time adjusting the temperature, and I communicated this to the host, and it was promptly addressed, which I appreciated! Just know that if you stay here you need to run the dishwasher and start a load of towels before you leave.

Great rental for an adventure in maui.

We arrived in the evening and were pleasantly surprised. This condo is nice, quiet and in a great location. The air conditioner is a bit loud and it could use some updates but it is comfortable. Nice views and a convenient walk to the beach and shopping centers nearby.
