This was by far our best experience at a vacation rental. The host was available and as responsive as we could possibly want or need. I felt well informed all along the way. The personal welcome was a nice touch. The unit came with a starter pack in the bathroom which was truly appreciated and the kitchen was well stocked. We have been to Maui many times and this location far surpassed what we have experienced to date. There beaches were almost empty and we spent every morning drinking coffee on the lanai and watching turtles. Would 10/10 recommend staying here. We will be back!

This was the perfect location, close to everything. The place was clean and adequate for our group of 6 adults. The quaint beach and turtles were a plus! And what a spectacular view. The check in process was so easy. It was great to have a washer dryer in the laundry room which is located in one of the front bedrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay, and the price was great. The view from the condo was gorgeous, and my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lanai with coffee every morning. The property location was also perfect for us, as it was central to all of the places and businesses we wanted to see. If you get a rental SUV, beware that the parking spots are teeny-tiny. We were able to make it work, but it was close! lol! The hosts/management team were WONDERFUL. We had severely delayed flights and they were so kind about letting our friends check in without us there yet.

Extremely comfortable and clean property. Enjoyed relaxing on the lenai every evening to watch the sunset. Kitchen had all the cooking equipment we needed, even a crockpot. Folks at Ali'i Resorts were very responsive to all our requests. Things to know: Kihei gets very windy in the afternoon. Very, very windy. We had to go elsewhere on the island to relax on the beach and avoid the wind starting around noon. Wind dies down in the early evening. There is a Safeway nearby for grocery shopping to stock up the kitchen. Five minute drive or a 20-minute walk. The Beach Club, a short walk up the street has a nice happy hour and a great patio for overlooking the water. Friendly service.

Very nice oceanside unit

This is a well equipped and well maintained and decorated unit. As a cook, I'd like a little better selection of knives. It had no metal spatula for the grills, but fear not, I bought one. Definitely we'd rent it again.

Beachfront breeze

This unit is in a central location. The oceanfront views and beach access were amazing. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Plenty of space for 5 adults to feel comfortable. Watching the turtles play in the water each morning, the whales playing about each day created memories of a lifetime.

Wonderful condo for whale watching!

We loved this condo! First floor was perfect for sitting on patio and watching the whales or playing on the beach. Condo comes complete with everything needed from beach chairs to binoculars. We loved having the grassy area right off patio and would be great for young kids. The whole complex seemed well maintained and grounds crew kept everything beautiful (even gas grills were cleaned every day and looked brand new). We loved the proximity to food trucks and shops. We would definitely stay her again.

Completely Perfect

The photos for this listing do not do this condo justice. I was worried that the ground-level view would be somewhat obstructed by the rock wall or hedges in front but it is absolutely not. This place was so perfect for our family of three adult couples. Each bedroom was separate from the others making for private spaces for everyone. Yet we could come together in the living and dining areas, as well as the lanai, with plenty of seating for all six of us. The master bedroom had its own very spacious bathroom, and the second bathroom was very spacious as well. Both showers are large. I could go on and on about how great this unit is. There are three beaches and a pool just steps from the lanai. And turtles! So many. We didn’t eat at the on-site restaurant but it was nice to know we could walk 50 steps to eat or drink if needed. Highly recommend!

Great Family Sized 1st Floor Rental Spot

We’ve stayed at Menehune Shores during our previous visit and this rental had everything we needed. Really enjoyed staying on the first floor and being able to walk out easily to the beach, go see the turtles who rest on the rock wall, watch the sunset, head to the pool (not heated and was too cool for us), or go to the BBQs. The unit was stocked perfectly with no shortage of everyday items like washer pods, dishwasher tabs, soap, garbage bags, etc. Loved that there was beach gear available for us to use. There is no umbrella but Boss Frogs has everything else you need for a very affordable price. The unit was very well kept and clean. Also try the restaurant! Great food. The only issues we did run into was: the noise from the A/C condenser pump in the laundry room which was very loud when it would kick on waking us up in the middle of the night. It could not be looked at during our stay by a specialist. The toaster was broken but was replaced super quick with no issue, the oven took an hour to heat up which was looked at but the same issue occurred the next day when used. Other than that our stay was good. Thank you for letting us stay in your rental!!

Loved seeing the turtles

Walking into the condo for the first time and seeing the amazing view of the ocean was breathtaking. It was so nice being on the bottom floor and just walking directly outside, and not having to take groceries upstairs. We were able to walk from the condo to see the turtles swimming and basking on the beach. The restaurant on the property was very good. We enjoyed having that view as well from the restaurant. I expected other places to eat and shop within walking distance from the condo, but there were none.

Stay here!

If you have kids, this is the best place to stay. You can’t beat the location. This was our second time at Menehune and we’re already planning our next vacation! The beach is perfect for kids to build confidence in the water plus there are turtles everyday! The pool is great for kids too! Skip the restaurant however, just cook in the kitchen which was well stocked! This was probably the best stocked rental we’ve ever been in. There was dishwasher pods, laundry soap, dryer balls, plus many kitchen food items such as oils, spices, and coconut cream. We also liked the small beverage fridge in the kitchen. Another thing we loved about this unit was being able to watch the sunset from the lanai every night. Stay here! You will love it!

Amazing location and sea turtles

We feel we had the best views and location on the property. We woke up and saw sea turtles every morning on our beach and saw the sunset from our lanai every night. Being in the ground floor, our kids played on the softest and greenest grass right in front of our condo. The condo is as listed and had everything we needed. The owner and manager (Cheryl and Cindy) were kind, great and took care of anything we needed. The property location was the best and we could travel to any part of the island easily- which we did. Can’t wait to return.

My family and I have been to Maui a number of times and this is by far the BEST vacation we’ve ever had. The house, the ocean-side location, and all of the amenities you could dream of made this home an oasis for us. We were a family of 6 (grandparents, kids under three and two couples) and we will definitely be staying at Cheryl’s place next time we visit the island. I promise for anyone looking to book an ocean-side spot in Kihei, this is the place to book!
