This spacious home is perfectly positioned on an ocean inlet in a fabulous Key Colony Beach location. Dine alfresco in the shade before a dip in the private spa or sparkling pool. You have access to the boat dock, so feel free to bring along the family schooner! (The boat lift is not available.) You'll also find a bait freezer for those early morning fishing trips. This home has a great outdoor living space, and guests even have access to the Cabana Club. Challenge a friend to a few good games at the shared basketball or tennis courts before coming back to grill up today's freshly caught fish on the private gas grill.

Boasting an interior of wood-beam ceilings, sparkling floors, attractive pillars, and lots of natural light, the open-concept living room has plenty of space for everyone to relax. You'll love watching your favorite movies and shows on the mounted TV or playing board games with the family over the sizeable glass-top dining table with ample seating. The well-appointed full kitchen has all the stainless steel appliances the family chefs could ask for, plus plenty of cookware and counter space to turn out a masterpiece for tonight's dinner party. To the side, another dining table enjoys views of the water and docks just beyond the patio, while kids can enjoy their afternoon snacks at the breakfast bar.

Off the living room, you'll find well-lit bedrooms. The first offers a TV, and another has an en suite bathroom. The primary bedroom off the living room has patio access, a TV, and an en suite bath with a bidet, a tub, and a step-in shower.

This home is ideally located within a quick drive to all kinds of Middle Keys attractions. You'll have beach access at the Cabana Club, so be sure to pack an extra bathing suit. Give the kids a fun and educational experience by visiting the nearby Turtle Hospital, where they can explore a world of sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation through guided public tours. Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters is just two miles northwest with snorkeling, diving, and lots of fascinating sea creatures to enjoy.

Things to Know
This home requires a 7-night minimum stay.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Security camera details: This home has active security cameras facing the dock, backyard/pool area, side of home, and driveway.

Dock details: The dock can accommodate up to a 32-foot boat. The water can be quite low at times. We expect best judgement from boat owners. That said, no boat should interfere with other boat traffic. The boat lift is not available for guest use.
2 days notification is required in order to heat the pool and pool spa. A fee of USD 75 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool and pool spa heat for your stay.


Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Communications with Vacasa were horrendous! It took us several emails and phone calls to remedy our non functioning pool. We finally called the pool company ourselves, and they never received a request from Vacasa personnel. We finally resolved the payment issue with Michael on Friday, which was great. The rest of the house was very nice. There were two other issues that I reported, the MB TV remote was disgustingly sticky, and we found no cleaning agents that were effective. We finall just put it in a zip lock bag in order to use it! Also, we woke up Sunday morning to some water on the floor in the back of the bedet in the MB. We put some towels dow, and I called the support line to report it, a plumber probably needs to be called.

This is a great house with lots of nice features and amenities, especially the pool, the views and the breezes from the inlet. We’ve stayed in this house about 4 times and it is one of our favorites. With that being said, there are a few simple things that could improve the experience.Of the 3 outside umbrellas , only one was functional making it difficult to stay in the shade.One of the bedrooms did not have a functional fan which resulted in us purchasing a fan. The house needs a broom for quick clean ups. We found shiffers but no Broom.And again, the dock is difficult to use as there is no ladder.

This house could be amazing but needs an interior facelift. Mold in shower, baseboard falling off. Not enough toilet paper or trash bag liners. Pool area is very nice, however poll service showed up twice to fix pool heater we paid for with no success. We were asked to add water to the pool twice. We are still waiting to hear if we get a refund for the heated pool that did not work

Spacious!

Casa de Rosa is very spacious both indoors out outdoors! The pool and spa area was enjoyed by all. We opted to pay the extra fee for pool/spa heat and it was worth it - especially on cool nights. The living quarters with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, and extra-large kitchen provided ample space for everyone. Although the interior floors, kitchen cabinets, and bathrooms were a bit 'dated', it didn't deter from our comfort. We did have a couple 'water' issues during our stay, but the local Vacasa Management Team was very responsive. Casa de Rosa was a great place. We'll be back!

Great location but house needs maintenance

We were on a family trip that consisted of four couples and two kids (ages 7 &10). The best thing about this house is the location. It is located in Key Colony which is a community off the highway in Marathon, FL. The neighborhood has a community pool and four restaurants. The house is a good size and decor is as pictured. The reason we gave this property a two stars rating is the house needs a lot of maintenance. The towel rack in one of the bathrooms fell off the wall when we replaced the towel (it was missing a screw). When we tried to use the en suite in the front bedroom the shower did not work (although mgmt sent someone out and it got fixed). The bedroom behind the kitchen had a mysterious puddle of water that kept showing up by the closet and that was never fixed. The master bathroom had an electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. We were able to find a screw and screw driver and repair it ourselves. The island sink in the kitchen did not have any hot water. The biggest issue was the pool. On the day we arrived the pool and "hot tub" were only half filled with water. We paid extra to have the pool heated. We called mgmt and they came out the next day and filled the pool and did refund the heating cost for the first two days of our stay. It should also be noted that there is no "hot tub" The "hot tub" is just a part of the pool with with jets. the water temp is same as pool.

Best Vacation!!

This home was absolutely perfect, in fact it was even better than the photos had advertised. Our family had an amazing stay. Home was clean & well stocked with everything we needed. Pool & jacuzzi was our favorite and the view was spectacular. Property manager was always available & beyond friendly & helpful. Will definitely be renting this home again.

Fantastic Christmas week

9 days over Christmas break. Relaxing but lots to do. Hot tub and pool. Kayak off of back dock. 1 block to park and swinger for kids. 2 blocks to Cabana Vlub for pool and beach. Great island for biking. 1/2 mile to pickleball, booked ball, shuffleboard. Bahia Honda St Park 20 miles a way, great day beach. Highly recommend.

Would stay again

Our family of four stayed with two adult children and two family friends. Plenty of room outside for everyone to have their SPACE. Very happy with this location. Very very happy with the new NEXGRILL griddle outside. We cooked out many nights it was awesome !!!!! Beds a bit dated but still overall a great place. The A//c on master bedroom was amazing !!!! Kitchen was stocked with more than adequate pans and dishes.

Not a happy camper!

I feel I should share these issues for future guests so they are aware of the issues and service they may run into with the Management Company. As a short-term rental manager, myself, I would want to be made aware of any issues with the property and then address the issues immediately; however, Vacasa does not do a good job at accommodating their guests. Upon arrival, we did notice a few things – dead bugs, the sheets on the master bed were worn and stained which made them appear dirty, the shower in the master was disgusting. There was a card from pest control on the counter, most likely they had recently treated the house for bugs. The light and fan in the dining room, kitchen and guest bedroom did not work. Most of the receptacles need to be replaced; we could not plug in any of our chargers because they would fall out. We had to use the receptacles in the kitchen. We had 3 washcloths for 8 people. The first night we did not have water in two of the bathrooms, and after several calls to Vacasa, they said it would be handled the next day, as it was not considered an emergency. For the price we paid for a 10 day stay, everything should be addressed immediately. Beware, you do not reach a local property manager when you call customer service. We spoke to people out of state, and they were not familiar with the property. We spoke to the local property manager twice. She was no help. The water was repaired the day after our arrival. The kitchen light was repaired; however, the dining light, fan and bedroom fan were never repaired, this was not a big issue for us. The next evening, we went to use the hot tub and noticed it was not in working order. So, we were back on the phone with Vacasa, long story short, we made several calls to Vacasa, they are cordial on the phone; however, they do not address the issues. You should not have to be on the phone for four days to try to get things repaired. The local property manager would not call back. The Owner would not allow the repair over the weekend and Monday came around and no one came out to repair. After many calls and frustration, we were told to turn on the heat manually to the hot tub at the breaker and we would have to turn off manually. The heat did work then; however, not the jets. Additionally, we did not have cable and Wi-Fi for 2 days. The property and layout were perfect for us; however, the purpose of vacation is to get away from the stress. This vacation was not stress free.
