„We loved staying at the Mara Major Lodge. Yes, it was pricey… but worth it. The tentalows are lovely and we got to hear many wild animals during the night, the staff was LOVELY and helped us plan all our excursions from A-Z! Special shoutout to our sweet game driver Sam. All the staff was Maasai as well, which was a lovely cultural immersion and they were all very open and friendly. Oh and the entrance to the park is so close, you can see it from the lodge! So convenient. “

„We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Mara Duma in a triple tent. The tent was right on the Talek River and we slept to the sounds of hippos grunting and frogs. The staff were exceptional - warm, friendly, kind and helpful - and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Food was tasty and home cooked and they catered for my gluten allergy brilliantly - i didnt get contaminated. „Visited Ashnil as part of a longer trip. The other Lodges have excellent dinner and lunch meals and service. Here, we were told on arrival that each sitting would cost us a small fortune for what turned out to be very mediocre meals. You are in the middle of nowhere, so paying for these meals left a bitter taste in the mouth for a one-night stay. Service was inferior, period. The bathrooms are horrible - see photos.
