„Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war ausgezeichnet. Sie hat immer sofort geantwortet. Die Lage des Cottage könnte nicht besser sein: mitten in Wooler, mit eigenem Parkplatz und trotzdem absolut ruhig. Das hübsch möblierte Cottage ist bestens ausgestattet.“

„Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Woche. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Allerdings liegt es sehr nah an der Straße, so dass der Verkehrslärm etwas störend wirken kann. Im Garten hätten wir uns ein paar Blümchen gewünscht.“

A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. „The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things ...

„Perfect situation for dog walking and exploring the local area. Beautiful beaches, pretty villages and an amazing forest complete with river and ancient castle ruins. Friendly pub, village store and tea room in the village. What more could you ask for? We will be back!“

„Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time.“

„The Counting House had everything we (family of 4) were looking for - enough space for everyone, clean, well equipped and some lovely personal touches. The location on the Market Square in Belford was perfect for the 20m sprint to the Black Swan and the only slightly longer trip to the Coop. Despite this we can't confirm the mentions of traffic noise in some reviews - the occasional bus really doesn't count in our book! Belford itself is also a great base both for the coast and inland. „Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh.“
