„We only needed it for a short stay. In the winter. It was a short ride to lake placid. It was clean, heat worked, had hot water, enough rooms and beds to sleep in. Had all the basics to get by. Just no toaster. Would stay again. The only thing I can say didnt work well. Was the wifi. But it was nice to disconnect. Just Hard to reach our loved ones in the evenings and find local places to get things.“

„The number one thing I loved about this property was the absolute quiet of the area. If you want to get away from it all - sit by the fire, read and just enjoy nature in quiet this cabin is for you. Close enough to shops and attractions - you get a nice balance of solitude and things to do. Easy check in/out process. Will come back!“

„A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.“

„We loved our time here at the Mountaineer. The wood stove and peaceful setting just made it a relaxing getaway after full days skiing and exploring the area. The location was great, close to Whiteface and Lake Placid. We even drove up to Montreal one day which was only an hour and a half away. The house was immaculate, so very comfortable, and had everything you could need. We very much enjoyed our stay here!“
