It felt exactly like a home cabin up north, but also completely Hawai’i.The grounds are beautiful, the ambience is relaxing, and the frogs produce a wonderful song all night. Combined with the sound of the ocean, the setting is quite serene. While no property is perfect, I would like to see the lighting improved, such as night lights, but one can’t have everything. „Unique home on a lovely plot of land. Lots of birds, plants, and geckos around the property. The home has everything you need and is a convenient launching point to explore the east side of the island. Less than an hour to Kilauea where we were lucky enough to see a fountain episode. I love quirky houses with a story, this one used to be a water tank that has been built out. Take a morning dip in the hot tub then have breakfast on the lanai. Traffic to and from Hilo can be backed up quite a bit ...
