„My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property.“

„This place is awesome. I wish we had stayed longer. We stopped here for the night because it is the half way point for the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The residence was an independent structure with a large window looking out to the sea and the bridge. Sunrise was gorgeous. The unit has a beautiful bathroom, very nice bedroom and new clean kitchen. Everything about the residence was top-notch, including the amenities. The breakfast and dinner that we chose were amazing. Loved this place. ...

„One night after bike trip over the islands to Imabari. Picked the hotel for closeness to rental car pickup next day. Close to Imabari Castle. Imabari isn't really anything special, hotel is typical mid-range, totally fine. Probably would have gone for western breakfast after 12 days in Japan, Japanese breakfast is set, not a buffet.“

„This is a unicorn of a rental. If it is available for your stay, just book it. We rode our bikes here while doing the shimanami kaido bike route and while it was a tad uphill (no worse than the bridges), this place was pure Zen. The view, the unit, just wow. If you don't have a car, make sure you buy some food/drinks before heading up as there is nothing for quite a distance. Very special place.“

„We came here for the biking and loved this hotel. It’s not easy to get to by public transport. You’ll want a taxi. The rooms are nice and large by Japan standards. The food was amazing. You don’t pick from a menu but they serve many different kinds of food. It is seafood focused. So if you don’t like seafood it might not be the place for you. We love Japanese style food so we were amazed. Definitely a highlight of our trip. “

„Nice new Hotel in Setoda with a public bath (not Onsen) the staff was very friendly and always helpful. the rooms are very big but there’s only a shower booth in the room. Though you can use the hotels own public bath which was very nice. it’s somehow even tattoo friendly if you don’t have specific “japanese” tattoos. there are many local eateries and some stylish coffee shops nearby. rent a bike and explore the island or corss the bridge to Ehime pref. :) “

"Das Hotel ist gut ausgestattet und bietet ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Außerdem bekommt man an der Rezeption allerlei Annehmlichkeiten für den Aufenthalt (Kamm, Badezusätze, Haargummis, ...). Gleich neben dem Hotel ist ein 7-Eleven, in dem man sich mit allem Nötigen eindecken kann. Das Hotel ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen."
