„Love this hotel. Super cute boutique hotel. Everyone was super nice. They have a little pool and both times we used it we were the only ones there. The staff is great and everyone was super kind. It is walking distance to all things in the walled city and Getsamani. Oh and the air conditioning was amazing in the room! 100% would stay again.“

"Tuve una experiencia muy buena en el hotel. La habitación era cómoda, limpia y estaba muy bien equipada, y durante toda mi estancia me sentí muy a gusto. La ubicación también me pareció muy práctica para conocer Cartagena y para llegar fácilmente al aeropuerto. Quiero destacar especialmente a Laura de recepción, quien fue siempre muy amable, atenta y dispuesta a ayudar. Me ayudó con mucha amabilidad durante mi estancia y hizo que todo fuera muy fácil, incluso con mis horarios de viaje. ¡Muchas gracias, Laura! 😊 En general, fue una estancia muy agradable y sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí en una próxima visita a Cartagena. ¡Totalmente recomendable!"

"Insgesamt ist das Hilton in Cartagena deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal aber war immer freundlich und sprach gutes Englisch. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß. Leider wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes der größte Pool renoviert. Dies war mit Baulärm deutlich zu hören. Das Essen war gut. Aber das Ambiente im Restaurant nicht. Weshalb wir eher den Room Service nutzten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war enttäuschend und vom Preis sehr überzogen. Wir haben deshalb nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt."

"While Sofitel Barú Cartagena has a beautiful location, clean beaches, comfortable rooms, and a large resort complex, several aspects of our stay were disappointing and prevented us from having the luxury experience we expected from the Sofitel brand. The biggest issue was the complete lack of a proper welcome experience. We arrived around 1 a.m. and received no welcome drink, water, fruit arrangement, room introduction. We were simply given the key and left on our own. This was particularly surprising because we have experienced much higher standards at other Sofitel properties, including Sofitel Bogotá. Another major disappointment was the beach experience. Throughout our stay, local vendors were allowed to approach guests daily with tours, products, and various offers. While some were polite, many were persistent and repeatedly interrupted our relaxation. A luxury resort should provide guests with a peaceful environment without constant solicitation. Beach service was also below expectations. Only small glasses of water were provided, whereas other luxury resorts we have visited typically offer bottled water throughout the day. The departure experience was equally disappointing. Check-out felt impersonal, with no farewell gesture, no bottled water for the journey, and no effort to leave a lasting positive impression. The resort is beautiful, the staff is generally friendly and hardworking, and the beaches and rooms are very clean. However the lack of personalized service, a"

"Das Hotel liegt nahe am Flughafen, was praktisch ist, allerdings auch Fluglärm mit sich bringt. Die Anlage ist sehr groß, und die Einrichtungen des Schwesterhotels Casa de Playa können mitgenutzt werden. Außerhalb des Hotels gibt es außer einem Minimarkt auf der anderen Straßenseite und 1-2 Restaurants wenig, was man zu Fuß erreichen kann. Zudem wird einem davon abgeraten, das Hotel zu Fuß zu verlassen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß mit guten Ablagemöglichkeiten. Auch das Bad ist geräumig und verfügt über Dusche und Wanne. Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit des Personals sind sehr gut, ebenso das À-la-carte-Essen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist für so ein großes Hotel eher eintönig mit wenig Variation. Da das Restaurant halb offen ist, sind zudem viele Vögel unterwegs, sodass man gut auf sein Essen achten muss. Während unseres Aufenthalts war das Hauptrestaurant nach wenigen Tagen geschlossen, sodass wir für alle Mahlzeiten ins Schwesterhotel gehen mussten. Zudem waren Teile der Poolanlage (mehrere miteinander verbundene Pools) für zwei Tage gesperrt. Ein Highlight ist der Pool im 10. Stock (Adults only). Weniger gut ist jedoch, dass es im gesamten Poolbereich keinen Schatten gibt – weder durch Sonnenschirme noch natürliche Beschattung. "
