The main living space in Scandi Cottage invites you inside with its welcoming decor. It includes a cozy sitting area with a warm charcoal accent wall, high-end upholstered furniture in rich leathers and fabrics, and a flat-screen TV—the perfect spot for movie night or to curl up with a book or your latest knitting project.

Kitchen & Dining
The well-appointed kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to prepare a full meal or to grab a snack before venturing out for the day. The room is light and bright, with brand new stainless steel appliances, including a large French door smart refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and oven, as well as smaller appliances such as drip coffee maker and Keurig, and all the pots and pans and utensils you need. There’s even a stand mixer should you get the urge to whip up a quick pepparkakor dough or a dozen macarons.

Dine in the stylish and minimalist dining area next to the kitchen, with its striking modern industrial light fixture and dining set with room for 4. More than a place to eat, this is a space for gathering and good conversation. Even the staircase in this space is thoughtfully designed to maintain a warm and peaceful flow throughout the house.

Bedrooms & Baths
Scandi Cottage’s unique primary suite occupies the entire upper floor and is a single, open sleeping and unwinding space with a step-in shower and bathroom. An inviting king-size bed is nestled into the gables here, lending this open space the feel of a treehouse.
On the main floor, you’ll find the second bedroom, simply and beautifully furnished with a queen-size bed and access to the main bath, which has a shower/tub combo.

Outdoor Amenities
Sit out on one of the wicker chairs on the front porch patio and take stock of this lovely neighborhood—Scandi Cottage is perched on a hill, which offers privacy even when sitting right by your front door.
The cottage can only be accessed via a flight of stairs, and there is a second flight of stairs to the upper level.

Scandi Cottage is in West Plaza between KU Med and St. Luke’s, the largest hospitals in the city. The property is central to many of Kansas City’s most famous attractions, including the high-end stores and restaurants of Country Club Plaza and the artsy neighborhood of Westport with its many breweries, boutiques, and restaurants. Picturesque Southmoreland Park and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art are a short drive away, as are the renowned American Jazz Museum and Negro League Baseball Museum in the historic 18th and Vine neighborhood. Sports fans will appreciate that Kauffman and Arrowhead stadiums are approximately 20 minutes from your door.
