Nestled on the upper floor of a beautifully restored farmhouse, the Gîte de la Viguerie captivates from the moment you arrive with its elegant stone staircase. Adjoining the owners' house, the gîte offers a perfect blend of authenticity and comfort, with exposed beams and stonework creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Located in the heart of the Tarn region's Ségala, between the Tarn and Aveyron departments, you'll stay in a preserved and wild area. The Viaur Valley, carved by the river, reveals unspoiled landscapes, ideal for hiking and nature getaways. Nicknamed the "land of a hundred valleys," the Ségala is a land of contrasts where hills, streams, and valleys unfold. The forests are deep, dominated by the chestnut tree, the emblem of this verdant territory where nature reigns supreme. A perfect setting for a rejuvenating holiday, far from the hustle and bustle, close to what truly matters. Many discoveries await you along the trails: the Church of Les Infournats, the Château de Jouqueviel-le-Vieux, charming villages like Najac, Monestiés, and Lagarde-Viaur, as well as the must-see Grands Sites of Occitanie such as Rodez (and its Soulages Museum) and Albi, whose episcopal city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cottage is arranged over two levels. On the ground floor, a large, welcoming living area includes a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave). Upstairs, you will find a large, comfortable bedroom and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Outside, a lovely garden awaits at the foot of the stone steps. A little further on, the swimming pool (8 x 4.5 m, 1 to 1.50 m deep), shared with the owners, offers a refreshing dip where you can fully enjoy sunny days.
