Close to all area attractions, this thoughtfully designed, 1.5-acre Wildlife Habitat and Boutique Retreat blends modern comfort with the beauty of the Mojave Desert. After a day exploring, watch the sunset painting the sky from your private outdoor patio and enjoy our Wellness amenities - sunroom with infrared sauna, stargazing deck & hot tub, & cowboy tub.

The space
This bright and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath home accommodates 4–6 guests comfortably. Each spacious bedroom features a King-size bed with high-end “California Den” Linens, a new wall-mounted smart TV, large closet, and dresser. The Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The Guest bedroom has a separate bathroom with a bathtub and shower over. Additional Guests may be accommodated on the brand-new couch in the living room, which makes up as a Queen-size bed. All linens and towels, including spa towels, are provided for up to a maximum of 6 guests.

As a Certified Wildlife Habitat®, Rosewood offers a unique opportunity to experience the desert's natural rhythm. Close to Joshua Tree National Park, our home sits on a large and elevated lot, high in Friendly Hills, a quiet neighborhood surrounded by acres of mountainous boulders and natural desert, home to numerous native plants, wildlife, and Joshua trees - creating an experience that feels immersed in the landscape.

Educational plant markers throughout the property encourage guests to learn about the desert ecosystem while exploring the grounds. One of our Joshua trees has been estimated at more than 250 years old and is home to many birds.

Enjoy morning coffee with the hummingbirds at our feeder outside the kitchen window, spot native birds and wildlife throughout the day, some year-round residents, some migratory, and take in starlit evenings in this true Joshua Tree Dark Sky neighborhood - where you may catch glowing Cholla Cactus at dawn and the Milky Way at night, without ever having to get in the car if your preference is to stay close to home.

Large windows fill the home with natural light while showcasing the surrounding desert landscape. The open-concept living room features a brand-new modular sectional that converts into a comfortable queen-size bed with premium linens provided. Enjoy a movie night on our 65” TV, play board games with family and friends, or simply unwind after a day of adventure.

The fully stocked kitchen features brand-new state-of-the-art appliances, including Craft ice and filtered water, premium cookware, dinnerware, and everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals during your stay.

One of Rosewood’s most unique features is the dedicated sunroom wellness space. Filled with natural light and desert mountain views, the sunroom houses a private Infrared sauna and provides a peaceful setting for reading, morning coffee, yoga, meditation, or simply slowing down and taking in the surrounding landscape.

Through the use of native landscaping and environmentally conscious practices, we’ve created a space where guests can experience the desert as it was meant to be enjoyed. Wildlife sightings are common throughout the property, and we encourage guests to appreciate the surrounding ecosystem respectfully. For the safety of both guests and wildlife, please observe animals from a distance and do not feed or approach them.

QUIET HOURS: Out of respect for our neighbors and the peaceful nature of the desert, quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

CONCIERGE SERVICES: Concierge services are available upon request for guests seeking personalized wellness experiences, special occasion planning, local recommendations, private chefs, and curated desert adventures.

Guest access
Guests will be provided with door codes to access all areas of the house except the garage, which is off-limits to guests at this time. Otherwise, all living areas and use of the outdoor amenities are exclusive to our guests, not shared.

Other things to note
The Hot Tub and Cowboy Tub are serviced professionally once a week, usually on a Thursday morning and again if needed between guests, so it is always freshly cleaned for your arrival. If you need any additional Hot Tub service during your stay for whatever reason, the current charge is $100 per call out.
