„Our room was two flights up and had a good view. The shower and hairdryer were poor on power and effectiveness but we did have a lovely bath after a long walk. The bed was a little uncomfortable and a bit stale smelling but roomy and light. Breakfast was 8:30-9:30 which was late for walkers trying to get an early start, but they do take away lunches. A mixed bag overall but we paid £136 for a double room and expected more for the price.“
„I loved my stay here. The location is perfect. Ambleside is very walkable so everything was close. The room had windows with beautiful views of the town, and I really appreciated there being a full length mirror in there. It was quiet and comfortable. Meg and John take great care of their guests. I was given a parking disc that could be used at a few different car parks in the area. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with a lot of choices. I’m so pleased with my choice to stay here!“

„Das Hotel liegt gut und recht zentral in Bowness, 2-3 Gehminuten von den Shops, Restaurants und Hafen. Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig da in einer Seitenstrasse gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr nett, und das Frühstück ausgezeichnet.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Hauptgebäude, es gibt aber auch einige motel-artige Zimmer in weiteren Gebäuden (sieht jedenfalls von ausen so aus). Sollte man also bei der Buchung drauf achten.
Das Zimmer was sauber und ausreichend gross, mit gutem kostenlosen Wifi-Empfang. ...

What a find, from the moment I found The Rockefeller on Expedia to arrival through to the end of the stay everything was the best!!
Not going to gointo much detail as wouldn’t want to ruin anybody else’s experience but I will say you won’t be disappointed, everything about the apartment is funky, design led and luxurious from the furnishings to the artwork and even the kitchen and bathroom are of the highest spec.
