„The cottage is in a great location to access all parts of the island. Decor and furnishing are on the basic side, but this is more than reflected in the price. The garden has lovely views - a picnic table is provided but I suggest taking your own camping chairs for more comfy, longer term seating. „Lovely accommodation in a pretty, quiet village. Pub closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so needed to drive or a 20 minute walk to find somewhere to eat. There is a nice village shop across the road. The pub breakfast and dinner were both good on Wednesday. Tbh it was really nice to be somewhere so quiet and peaceful and it seems many restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in IOW. Would recommend, especially if you have a car. Owners helpful and easily reached on Whatsapp. Good walks nearby.“

„Like other people have already mentioned, there is no Hotel staff on site so you're pretty much left to your own devices. When checking in I was greeted by the restaurant’s chef who had to phone someone to come and bring the keys to my room which included a ten minute wait.
 Since the rooms are located above the restaurant, it is quite loud in the evening and late at night – especially when your room faces the street and people leave the restaurant talking loudly. I had a problem during my stay ...

„The only factor in favour for the hotel is the history and the period property. It needs sprucing up the exterior and somewhat the interior. Room can get hot despite not south face. Breakfast was too slow and so we left without having the main item , 40 minutes after entering.They wrote that breakfast is leisurely but it could be putting a spin on the low staffing.Reception personnel are not quite welcoming or service like..“

„A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us.“
