„VR Apartments are very well located in Southside Glasgow. My wife and I were over for her to have a surgery and short recovery, 5 day stay. We found the flat to be quite small, we are both quite tall people so would likely not book again based on this alone. The flat would suit someone of a shorter height or individual booking better. The hosts are incredibly responsive via text message, they were accomodating of an early check in for us which was greatly appreciated. There was a security mishap ...

„Beautifully decorated comfortable chic home and the sofa bed is full size double & comfy. Only downside is it’s not that practical if you plan to cook all your meals in the flat. No cupboard space for groceries, kitchen pots etc are in the bedroom, couldn’t find a frying pan.
Was easier to eat out or get takeaways.
Bathroom is of high standard but tight on space with no where to put a wash bag or makeup bag or even a toothbrush.
Also I would suggest owner puts a proper door on the side room ...

„Cleanliness in the apartment was top notch but the entrance from the door through the staircase was not pleasant. The stairs should be rugged atleast, to give it good first impression.
The shower wasn't working or we couldn't get through with turning it on, so we had to be fetching water from kitchen each time we wanted to shower.
We also couldn't access the wifi. The password was there but we didn't know what network to connect to as there were many on the drop down and we kept trying the ...

„A last minute refusal by another property to honour our booking meant we had to quickly find an alternative. With hindsight, this was actually a good thing when we found this apartment.
Marlborough was simply excellent. Lovely apartment, great view over the river, spotlessly clean, great location (convenient & quiet), easy reserved parking and lovely staff.
Without a doubt will book here again on our next stay in the area. A great find.“

Die Umgebung könnte etwas schöner sein, ist aber sicher.
Das Apartment an sich ist sehr geräumig und komplett ausgestattet.

„The property is nice, and bigger than expected. The communication as far as letting you know Wifi, and TV etc could have been better but the owner was responsive and helpful. The beds were probably the only thing that was not great as they were all super springy and not very supportive. Outside of that this is a great place to stay and walking distanceto some great areas of the west end of Glasgow“

"Tolles , jugendliches Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und leckerem Frühstück! Kleines Manko ist die Lage an der Hauptverkehrsstraße zwischen hässlichen Neu und Industriebauten. Für Städtetouristen trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen, denn man ist ja eh dan ganzen Tag in der Stadt unterwegs und das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf jeden Fall ! "It was in the middle of renovation (in high season) the reception was a mess, in my room the floor was not cleaned properly and it was missing a light bulb in one light, the main light switch was well concealed behind a curtain behind the wardrobe and took some finding. Access to my room was from a path open to the street and the means of locking it unfamiliar so the first day I had to leave it open. When I eventually saw the helpful room service lady, who was there for three hours every day so I had to make sure of being back at that time, she showed me how to lock the door, saying English people always had problems, so it is a system only familiar in Scotland. A written explanation would have been very helpful. The whole place was self-service (check-in was through instruction by e-mail with a code for opening a keybox) and had an air of neglect. I made a couple of calls to the phone number posted at reception and one of the people I had difficulty understanding and did not call back as I requested. The hotel is a bit outside the main town though there are a number of bus routes. I would recommend not keeping it on your list."
