Im Gegensatz zu einer überteuerten Übernachtung auf der Insel ist das Guest House Kikusui Ryokan eine preiswerte Alternative. Fährfahrt ist ein zusätzliches Erlebnis um die Kunstinsel in 20 min. zu erreichen. Auf der Kunstinsel sind einige wichtige Museen, von Ando entworfen, und viele Kunstwerke im Außenbereich zu besichtigen. Wer kennt ihn nicht den gelben Kürbis. Neu ist der Naoshima Pavillon.“
