„The Wheatsheaf is a typical pub hotel. Clean rooms with friendly staff. Breakfast was individually cooked to order and was very good.“

„Firstly l would point out the staff were excellent and were very helpful. However the room was not great. It was cramped and you had to move the tv (or duck under it) just to get to the bathroom. The road noise was constant despite double glazing. Also had to ask the lovely staff to change the stained pillow cases. When leaving at 10am check out time the place was still locked up, curtains pulled and deserted.“

„I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere.“

„The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.“

There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. „Staff were very pleasant, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The decor in the room was beautiful and it was very clean with plenty of tea making facilities including ‘proper’ mugs and a teapot with tea cosy which was a lovely extra. However the room was very, very small and it did not have any drawers or wardrobe to store clothes (there was a small rail in the corner with four hangers to hang a few items). The en-suite was also very small but it was supplied with lovely White Company ...

„I booked this for a short one night stay on a budget. The property is not up to modern standards but as long as you are not fussy is ok. The owners are a lovely, helpful couple. Unfortunately it is next to a pub and on a Friday night there was loud, live music and there were still people out on the main street being noisy. Luckily I had some ear plugs with me.“
